Try google chrome, BB works faster and don't get logged out as fast as with IE.

I'm really not sure why are you getting upset. I understand what are you saying and I'm under no illusion that training someone at this age (25+) is effective, or efficient, or even smart, but that was not at all what I was asking about, so I would prefer if we could just stick to the subject. As a matter of fact, I wasn't even asking anything - what I originally said was more of rhetorical question - but then GM-El Duderino asked me what is that I train and for which position, so I replied. To him.

I know what you mean, I think you just feel that someone needed just 1 or 2 more pops for you to feel complete.

Somewhat :-) But yeah, I feel that some of those guys I'm talking about should have pop at least once by now, and with every new week that passes by and they don't, I wonder if maybe there is something wrong with the training itself. Especially taking into account all these training delays that are running second season straight, and overall just the fact that the GE has not been on top of things lately. We know that is true - this is not something I'm making up just to support my case - I mean, BB's themselves admitted that there is quite a few things within a game that are not working properly - they even fired a guy - and considering everything, I don't think it's all that crazy to assume that one of those things "not working properly" might be related to training updates.
I'm not saying that it's a sure thing, of course, but clearly, taken the amount of trainings my guys have received over a course of seasons - meaning, not just this season, or past season, but over a course of several seasons - I thing something fishy is going on. And just for the record, I'm not the only one who has this kind of problem. In my league, there is a guy who claims that he hasn't had a single pop for 7 weeks straight, and his guys are much younger than mine, so yeah, I don't know; it's definitely a bit weird.

There is always the possibility that the 27 year old has capped
that player you are concerned about
has a $12,784 salary and has starter potential

I have a 21 year old with starter potential
his salary is $13,383 and at age 20 I got no more pops last season

Players have sub levels of potential as well
he obviously is closer to 6th man than he is to star potential

Well, that was definitely one of my concerns early on, and while that might be true for some of my players, I don't think that is the case with Simpson. As a matter of fact, he is the reason I dismissed capping as an option, because you see, there is no way he caps at 12K. Just no way.
I have no idea where you gather your information from, but I had 6th man potential player before and I easily trained him up to 17K, so once again, even if Simpson barely made it to his Starter potential, he would still have more cup space than any of 6th man potentials, and as I just said, 6th man potential can go all the way up to 17K, perhaps even 20K if their potential sub-level is high enough.
As for your player stopping to improve at age of 20, and barely at 13K salary, if he received a substantial amount of training and failed to pop even once last season, I would be worried if I were you :-) because he sure didn't cap. Starter potential don't cap that low; they can easily be trained up to 20K and more - I have seen numerous Starter potential players at 30K even.
All in all, the example you showed me - your own player stopping to improve at age of 20 and 13K salary - is more supportive of my concern that there might be something wrong with training updates, than yours that my player(s) simply just capped.

Actually, if you play around with the training planner at the USA offsite, you can pretty easily create a 12K salary point guard which has a cap number, using Josef Ka's coefficients, at the lower end of starter potential. Maybe your guy just had an unlucky sublevel of potential?

Interesting. I didn't know that. But 12K? Really? Oh well.

Salary and capping are not directly connected. He can have high sublevels since you are still training him and could cap just before popping in several skills. His virtual salary might be a bit higher because of those sublevels, but you won't see it before next season's salary update.

According to JosefKa's potential formula, he could look something like this:

JS 9, JR 9
OD 10, HD 10
DR 10, PA 10
IS 1, ID 1
RB 1, SB 1

That's ~ 13k, starter potential with low sublevels.

If he's your pet player, I understand why you are wasting your time training him...but if he's not, buy some Perennial Allstar 18yold for 10k, train him three seasons and then sell for 800k...at least that's what I would do if I was training two-position.
