Did our ABBL forum move?

Whitebeard I think it is a very healthy sign that even you are considering buying up. Koop, Aussie and Fishy cartainly have strong teams and as Mllama pointed out Aussie will have the advantage of easy first two rounds of games where he can certainly play TIE whereas while you SHOULD win playing TIE can you really be certain and take the risk in a one off game against those guys?

Duffill to SF, what a good move.

Hard enough to stop at the PF position and even harder to man him up at the SF position

Your loss to HA last night really hurt...
40+ point loss...HA only 40 points behind in PD with 3 games left.

Given the clip at which he's winning games at, and the tanking teams hes facing, looks like I stand a good chance of losing HCA since he only needs to be 12-15 points ahead for each game for the next 3 games, which looks pretty doable.

bugger.

appreciate the effort though :)

Teams in your conference have 2 possible outcomes;

If you promote, then they will have a cashed up ABBL relegate drop down to join them in their conference.

If you fail to promote then they get to keep you in their conference, only you will be financially crippled

yer i sold up last week, have been trying to sell up for weeks now, focusing on some trainee's. good to be pulling some excellent coin now though.

But yes, it was a surprise flogging. basically a $200k starting 5 vs an ABBL standard starting 5. always going to struggle. even at home.

i don't see the point of that post, given that your conference is exactly in the same situation

Teams in my conference also have a 3rd possibility.

I could sell off my 2 beasts for a healthy profit and stay in the conference and become even stronger next season with the continued improvement of my 3 trainees

yer but ur not going to do that.

Financially you would be worse off, cause ur trainee's salary will go up, and so when you buy up beasts again, you will taking an even bigger hit. im sure you could manage it financially.

However another season just leaves the door open for Corio/Hadders/myself/fashion/vipers etc to also buy up.

PS: pulling in over $200k a week right now.

My trainees may go up a combined 30k at worst case scenario.

Point is by finals time next season they woulb be performing at a standard way above their salary.

No rush to sell my beasties as they will be worth more next week.

I will decide next week whether to sell them or whether to push all the chips in and buy some more beasties.

so what? i could do exactly the same thing
i could still keep my core guys and sell off some of the older guys, and do the same

what you're really trying to say is "guys.. tank against me so I can catch up to TAK and take HCA, so I can win, so I can get out of here, because I will be a threat next season."

To that I counter...you threat will be marginalised. Rentals won't work as well next season, and we all know how much you love using that tactic. If you want to have a strong season, you'll need to keep a big roster for a good portion of it, which you can't afford.

As coach pointed out, there is still the threat of lurking teams staying dormant and waiting for the right opportunity to strike also.

So really, I say again - there is no difference to the rest of the league who wins between us.
