Tearing it down?

Afraid so. When i sold off after Season 26, I received just over $2.5 mil for my entire team...including NT great Andy Wilder for a mere $250k. Shortly after my sell off is when the market started screaming up...so I sold low, and bought high. I came back to the NBBA with 3 starters in place, and roughly $5 mil figuring that would be more than enough to add 2 stud bigs and a bench...obviously things changed.

With the crazy money being tossed around right now, and a limited amount of time left with this roster anyway, I figure I may as well get the money while it's there. I hate tanking...but historically I have never been a fan of going after 2nd place either. My team promoted to the NBBA several seasons quicker than I anticipated so I adjusted on the fly.

I have a small window to continue on as I have been lately, and/or sell off and get good $$ for these guys before they get really, really old. I am going to drop to down, start the training program over again, and come back again, hopefully this time with enough money to make a real run.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!

11/25/2016 - Yorkville BC has just acquired Florentas RamaĊĦauskas for $ 4 080 000.

i've been waiting for this shoe to drop since you got in the league. looks like a fine player, and young, too.

well hopefully i dont relgate or its not a great purchase. I promoted a couple seasons ahead of my original plan. i actually found an evernote doc with my orginal team building plan after i bought okobi and chen. kind of funny planning for a DI where you could buy an elite starter for around 2 million and backups for around 1 million.

Besides, relegation and my shitty managing this season, I am a little concerned about the state of BB. I dont really know how much longer the game has left in the tank. I dont think the BBs have really been thinking about the future consequences of some changes they have made.

Lack of an app, new managers, and inflation are still big problems. I was looking at the TL, and some players that werr similar builds I bought in DIII are going for 1-2 million dollars. How do you expect to retain users, if it takes a whole season to save money to buy one DIII starter.

I have concerns about the salary changes that are about to happen. I spent two plus years training players, and now I feel like about to get screwed.

A couple of thoughts:

1) you are absolutely correct about training. i look at A-Dub's HoF prospect and see two skills at atrocious. to simply get those up to mediocre requires, i figure, a season's worth of training, and those are not even core skills. it would be nice -- and lower prices and change the game -- if training could somehow produce an NBBA-level player at age 22 or so -- that an Anthony Davis was at least theoretically possible. as it is now, no chance.

2) it certainly does look like a buyer's market right now.

3) i am here to tell anybody who is listening that High Point Heroes is a very good team. their world ranking jumped this season from the 220s to the 80s and they haven't finished rising. they have an excellent, balanced squad capable of executing a number of tactics well, along with a superior defense. well managed, too, as they go into the Finals with high levels of enthusiasm. according to BuzzerManager, their game score against the Tragic was in the low 180s, which is absolutely stratospheric. finally, they should be as good or better next season. i should wish them good luck, but my heart is hoping they have seven severe injuries in the first two minutes of tomorrow's game.

Great observations, H, but don't you mean a "Seller's" market right now?
