I'd be happy to get back to the finals this season but with my end of season injuries and Bryce going with an over the top salary team once again, i think he's bought yet another title no matter who he plays.

Hopefully mr moneybags will run out of money soon though and we'll start seeing what he's really made of ;)

Thanks for the good wishes.

Went crunch time tonight so if I loose then I will have absolutely no chance in the 2nd game despite it being at home

What tactics could I use in game 2 that will result in long term injuries to an opponents Power Forward and Guards whilst still managing to buy off the referees as well?

If no such tactics exist then I guess its goodbye cruel ABBL in straight sets

Unfortunately for you there is no defensive tactic labelled "Pistons Bad Boys" :(

I only got one advice... you got to be in it to win it.

Just give it your all and hope for the best. And also pray that lady luck is on your side.
I'm speaking from experience too, not just blabbing out of my mouth. Here is the proof (32426138).

And it looks like you lost from the charity strip, 30-38 free throw is a big advantage.

Reality is that his roster is almost worth twice mine.

I need to use the "Pistons Bad Boys" tactics and hope that he plays his roster out of position for training minutes and greed (to get another home gate)

I'll definately try a few things and wont die wondering

The moral of the story (which i covered in the 2nd post of this thread) is

If you hold onto your 300k big man you might struggle. Very hard to win in this comp with one good player and no depth.

It's all about team balance and not coming up to the ABBL before you are ready. I wanted you to do well sid given you are a former II.3 guy like myself C-Cat and Whitebeard but alas the 300k C was your downfall. Especially given that you held onto him for so long.

Would have been a much better option to sell him off in the beginning and get a couple of 70-100k guys

No doubt although I was spewing that I didnt have that couple hundred extra K to get him back in for the relegation games

In hindsight I definately wish I had of listened to you and traded him out earlier.

Losses in the first two games stuffed me up as I was then for ever hanging onto Mijac to win me that extra game or two that would save me from relegation. (Ofcourse at the time I had no money to buy a half decent replacement)

Am hoping that Doncaster Flames will realise how dominant they are and keep me alive so that they can get another home final gate (With a third going to HA)

There was a push by a few of the old gang to lobby for my return as they believe that my team will be the weakest of all those relegated

What are my chances of ending back in II.3?

Do the stadium prices I have fixed for next season look about right for an ABBL team relegating with the nbr of seats stadium has?

lol I'm going to be a smart alec and say you have a one in four chance of going back to II.3 and that your stadium income will take a big hit... just have a look at last seasons abbl demotees.. tasmanian eagles, south brisbane vultures and phoenix 5.

Getting to the abbl early is good and all, but you should've tanked it from the start to make as much money as possible. =P
In hindsight, imagine how good it would look now if u had that 1mil promo money + 4.4mil savings (400k x 11 weeks) + 1st pick.
You can go back to dvi2 with a good rookie to train and a tonne of money.

But of course that wouldnmt be fun, and it defeats the whole purpose of playing BB in the first place.. or is it?

Its a classic case of taking a step back in order to take 2 steps forward.

Tanking in ABBL and taking advantage of the extra revenues and savings will put any team in a good position to get themselves back in the ABBL after another season back down in D2. (just ask Adams Guns). You can afford to have a roster in D2 that no one can match.

Instead I'll be going back with about a $100K in the bank, a lot of experience, a bigger stadium and a fairly deep roster for div 2 that will hopefully allow me to sell a few off a few players as the season progresses that might just allow me to have enough coin in the bank to buy a few Mijacs when the time is right. (to repeat the cycle all over again)

Are the prices $10, $35, $100 and $800 about right for a relegating ABBL team entering div 2 with an 18,000 seat stadium
