Your loss to HA last night really hurt...
40+ point loss...HA only 40 points behind in PD with 3 games left.

Given the clip at which he's winning games at, and the tanking teams hes facing, looks like I stand a good chance of losing HCA since he only needs to be 12-15 points ahead for each game for the next 3 games, which looks pretty doable.

bugger.

appreciate the effort though :)

Teams in your conference have 2 possible outcomes;

If you promote, then they will have a cashed up ABBL relegate drop down to join them in their conference.

If you fail to promote then they get to keep you in their conference, only you will be financially crippled

yer i sold up last week, have been trying to sell up for weeks now, focusing on some trainee's. good to be pulling some excellent coin now though.

But yes, it was a surprise flogging. basically a $200k starting 5 vs an ABBL standard starting 5. always going to struggle. even at home.

i don't see the point of that post, given that your conference is exactly in the same situation

Teams in my conference also have a 3rd possibility.

I could sell off my 2 beasts for a healthy profit and stay in the conference and become even stronger next season with the continued improvement of my 3 trainees

yer but ur not going to do that.

Financially you would be worse off, cause ur trainee's salary will go up, and so when you buy up beasts again, you will taking an even bigger hit. im sure you could manage it financially.

However another season just leaves the door open for Corio/Hadders/myself/fashion/vipers etc to also buy up.

PS: pulling in over $200k a week right now.

My trainees may go up a combined 30k at worst case scenario.

Point is by finals time next season they woulb be performing at a standard way above their salary.

No rush to sell my beasties as they will be worth more next week.

I will decide next week whether to sell them or whether to push all the chips in and buy some more beasties.

so what? i could do exactly the same thing
i could still keep my core guys and sell off some of the older guys, and do the same

what you're really trying to say is "guys.. tank against me so I can catch up to TAK and take HCA, so I can win, so I can get out of here, because I will be a threat next season."

To that I counter...you threat will be marginalised. Rentals won't work as well next season, and we all know how much you love using that tactic. If you want to have a strong season, you'll need to keep a big roster for a good portion of it, which you can't afford.

As coach pointed out, there is still the threat of lurking teams staying dormant and waiting for the right opportunity to strike also.

So really, I say again - there is no difference to the rest of the league who wins between us.

Well you said you had "nothing to lose" and that you "were going to tank next season regardless" where as i have repeatedly suggested that i might be selling my beasties for a profit before the finals.

If my trainees are bench players come next seasons finals you can be assurred they will be extremely capable and cost effective.

My core players can be retained and my team will still run at a profit where as if you were to keep your core players you will continue to run at a loss.

Smeltz and Duffill will both be 33 next season and therefor will be dropping skills where as my players will still be improving and not just the trainees but also my core players with increased experience and the occassional week of "one on one" or Jump shop.

Not saying i will or i wont, but i possibly will sell my beastie boys next week for top doller and make a certainty of promotion next season, (unlike you i havent been bleeding money all season), should i not be able to bridge the points difference between us and stitch up the HCA.

As ive repeatedly said its probably better for my traineees for training purposes to stay in div 2 next season, where as you couldnt possibly afford to challenge again next season and well lets face it with Duffill and Smeltz both 32 years old you have nothing to lose as this is your last chance.

You will accuse me of playing mind games by posting this, but Im sure that anyone who reads this will know what I have written, is true.

There is also a bit of a sentamentalist in me who admires what you have done and wouldnt might you succeeding if it didnt hurt me

PS: pulling in over $200k a week right now

Okay you may be pulling something but even with 2 home games this week, its definately not 200K profit.

My spreadsheet on you shows;

$869949 in players salaries and you need to have a good doctor so your staff salaries are at least 20K and probably 25K

Your merch is 110K or 120K maximum

If you sold all your seats youd get $357940 a gate but in reality your last gate was only $306842, so even with 2 home games this week your going to struggle to break even and probably lose about 10K to 30 K for the week

Myself I only have the one home game this week so I will lose about 315K this week and with no home game next week I will drop about 670K next week unless I sell my 2 beasties at the end of next week

My players salaries are way less than yours but my merch is less and my staff salaries more

Thats okay I know my figures and still have some cash to buy more beasties should I wish to.

Just noted that you only have the one home game this week which means you are going to lose between 310 to 330K for the week.

Next week you have 2 home games so that is the week where you will have the small loss.

If your mistaken about making 200K plus profit this week, is it at all possible that you might also be mistaken about having lots and lots of money???????

You are merely slapping people in the face with your propaganda and you have nobody fooled

Everything Ive written in this post is a 100% truth, perhaps you Mr Bainsy should just retreat back to Gisburne

I would think that you would sell them straight after exiting the cup if you cared about making money
.

Actually I did sell my beasts after or just before the end of my run in the cup.

The 2 beasts I have at the moment have only cost me the one weekly salary each.

315K loss this week is an investment because they could potentially sell for a lot more at the end of next week

This is the biggest crock of shit. No offence. Akuma isnt stupid. I'm not stupid. Not everyone is stupid. Ranga is an exception. The first thing I took away from your message about Akuma is that you were trying to convince others in his conference it was more viable to cripple Akuma by them CTing him to give you HCA. I am almost certain that was what you were intending. The way the message was written wreaks of it.

On another note Akuma has already stated he has a shit tonne of money, and is making more merchandise than you think. So in fact he might not be bleeding as much money as you think.

On another not you say that you might sell your beasts later to maximise profit, because you don't intend to promote. But that makes no sense to me. You are carrying massive salaries late in the season to not challenge. I would think that you would sell them straight after exiting the cup if you cared about making money.

No, you are definitely intending to compete, and I would be surprised if you ar fooling anyone with your antics.

I am no saint. I speel Bullshit at times and I have manipulated my fair share of managers to do what I want. But the difference is I am subtle about the way I do it. Most probably don't even know it has happened.

Being subtle is your friend. You are merely slapping people in the face with your propaganda and you have nobody fooled.

er I didn't say i was pulling over 200k
coach said he was

im certainly not doing that
but i can tell you i am not losing as much money as you think, and i think you've also underestimated how much i had banked to begin with. remember that i have been tanking for many many seasons to get this team and roster together
