What % of the world uses IE vs. all other browsers combined?
What % of the websites on the internet today are developed specifically to be compatible with IE? How many browsers out there come even close to the widespread usage of IE?
If you are a software/hardware guy then you mess around with a lot of different programs and browsers.
Me and most other people load what is on the startup disk and stick with it.
Sure it might be better to go freeware or some other nonsense. Do I want to spend afternoon after afternoon trying to figure out some random browser program or do I want to just load windows, keep myself updated and save myself a hassle.

You are cracked in the head if you want to blame microsoft, not the page designer when their website won't work with IE. Being compatible with IE is a standard for the WWW. Any sight that doesn't meet that standard is either specifically run by anti-microsoft loonies, amateurs or a bit of both.

If I want to GoDaddy or some other website and hired someone to build a webpage, the LAST thing I would want them to say is 'oh by the way IE sucks so my pages aren't compatible'.... I'd rather him tell me he did a lot of coke to stay up with his work, atleast there is a smidgeon of logic in that.

Very strange logics. So I should always eat hamburgers at McDonalds because it is the most widespread as well? Just because someone got a way too big market share of other reasons than quality of the stuff I should use it?

Basically all web browser are freeware and especially IE are freeware. The reason Firefox is so popular is thanks to functionality that is not available with IE. Add-ons that adds a lot to management games are not possible to do in IE and it is then very logical to use Firefox and to use that as default for creating the website and try to adjust it so that it works with IE and other browsers as well.

I can't agree with your whining and this is not because I really dislike Microsoft for despite their huge money bag are creating so poor products but because Firefox actually are by far the most usable for management games. If you play Hattrick you will have very good add-ons that could never be created for IE as far as I know.

Do u know that microsoft payed in european union hundreds of millions as a fine for the IE? The reason? it comes with the windows so it force you to use it, so its monopoly. The windows 7 will come in (Europe at least, not sure about US) without the IE explorer installed. This is giving you a good explanation about the % of the ppl who are using the IE. Also how many sites did you find recently that are incompatible with mozzila? All the developers now are getting serious the new browsers especially now that are far far faster, safer, with lots of customizations, compared to IE. As you said you are just a pc user, and as i said i am professional (systems engineer), so maybe, just maybe i know something more about regarding the computers. Enough with Mr Bill who is selling us iron for the price of gold.
The choice is urs. I just giving you some facts

Daft doesn't work with IE apparently, not in the old version and NOT in the new version, because someone suggested it works in the new version, but this is not the case. So only solution i guess, is to install firefox or google chrome or mozilla

IE8 is the browser that doesn't work. IE6 and IE7 work, I believe.

Also, it could be that you're not using Windows XP or Vista (I had to change to Google Chrome).
