You did a great job with the national team!

The reason why the Belgian national team is underdeveloped for the moment is not only because we had a donkey as U21 coach. There is also a lack of commitment when people start to train a U21 or national team player. Most players think in terms of their team, and not the national or U21 team. They prefer team training and balanced players
(I know it is almost impossible to train a U21 or national player to their best shape and potential in the BBBL).

I have seen many players (and I only play this game for 2 seasons...) that start to train a U21 or national player, and then quit training, just because they are bored and want to train something else.
(it can become boring, because you train on 1 position or 2 positions all the time, but the reward is so much greater when you see your player perform for his national team)

Another problem, more in the IV leagues, is that many players start to play this wonderful game for only a few days, and then leave, together with some of the most promising Belgian stars. (every season we have some players with a wage of 6000+ or 5500 + and 18 yo)
and 1 good advice:
If you're going to quit the game, if wage of your player is getting to high or if you don't train him, sell him...

I am also impressed that there are only 4-5 players that follow the 80-100 players that get chosen. It's almost an impossible task to follow and advice every player every week...but I'm sure the future will bring more star players and the Belgian national team will rise (again).

no, seriously, I thought the majority still thought that indivual training was most profitable. I always felt...well...prety alone in my vision of balance and balanced teams, and especially balanced-team-training.

But don't worry. I am prepared to give up the BBBL to make 1 shining star. The only thing I need is a good trainer, and a nice prospect.

finding a good prospect isn't nearly as hard as getting a good trainer for a reasonable price...

GL with it, and this said, within 3 seasons, our U21 is gonna rock, since LoD will be delivering a kick ass player, right? ;)

I think most smart people share your opinion about balanced training and train 4-6 players in the team. But I thought you trained your whole team which is alot different from the semi balanced approach I prefer. The middleway between individual training and training your whole team seems to be the best way.

The training 1 or 2 players for a NT is a choice you make but you got to know that if you really want to go far in this you will have to let go of the player because of the exponential salary he gets from a certain level. I cant afford a Shooting guard with a salary of 160k (superstar) and I think he can reach 160k really fast if you train him individually (fast in the terms of by the age of 23 if you have good starting stats).

I would also be prepared to give up my team to train a great player but due to the fact that my drafts sucks for the past 2 to three seasons I gave up that idea and went for the team improvement.
