No, I am not naive...I am just not a mental midget either....I have common sense and maturity to read what a guy like Naker says, and take it for what it is. If I don't agree with him, or anyone else for that matter, I dont see the point of arguing for two days about the intent, and meaning of a word said to explain a word, that a particular word was used to make a point about something that both people are now claiming they never meant to say in the first place.

All kind of silly to me.

I read these forums EVERY single day...but I dont comment a whole lot. Rarely do I even give my opinion because I dont care to argue with anyone. But I read through these forums picking up little tidbits of information. Some I really get behind, some I ignore completely. Some I use to piece together with something else I already know or believe.

Personally I am glad there doesnt seem to be one right answer about most of these things...and personally I am glad that people do things many different ways, and in some cases, wrong :-) Just gives guys like me that are progressing fast, (only had a team since April), hope that I can catch, and pass a lot of people.

I find it funny though that regardless if its Naker, or others like Naker get bashed the way they do, for being willing to submit their opinion on just about every question or issue. Many, many people, including the people who bash him, I am sure have learned at least one thing from him. If he went away, I bet you anything a ton of people who want answers to certain things, would eventually start wondering "I wonder what Naker would say about this". Instead of being a jerk when people don't agree with him, or anyone, why not just take it for what its worth, ignore it, and move on.

I was reading in another forum where one of the absolute best in BB was being attacked, and some owners were celebrating his recent loss. Simply because the guy proposed a thought, but hadn't yet done it himself. LOL, give me a break...some people just look for a reason to gripe or complain.

They say some people need a crisis in their life to be happy...well maybe Naker should change his name to "Crisis" because he seems to be their crisis in their life. It seems that some people are more interested in 1 balling him, and arguing with him, than they are about managing their own teams.

To fire222:
my question was: is it just me or are there more injuries this season

answer of naker was was: it's just you!

I tried to search for the thread but couldn't find it. Regardless, the tone of my comment was not meant to be offensive, ignorant or arrogant. Your question was straight forward, and I answered it in a straightforward way. I thought it was a funny response to your question, but apparently you didn't take it like that and I am sorry but that is not my fault. Text over the internet can often be read in the wrong way and I fear that is what you have done here. Maybe I should have put a smiley face after the exclamation mark to make it clearer, but I thought it was fairly obvious that the comment wasn't meant to be rude. As for why this thread got a discussion started about injuries and your's didn't is due to the difference in how it was worded. You gave a one line simple question that was answered, and I assume that is why a GM closed the thread. This OP has posted his question in a way that can create more posts from more people by not just asking a 1 line question. He provides his own experience, it is written well with proper grammar and spelling, and it is written with a friendly tone (or at least it seems friendly to me).

that was what has been said in that thread nothing more nothing less and that was stupid. You talk about being civil so much, but if something's stupid I call it stupid this has got nothing to do with being civil-which I am not going to learn from you.

you are free to ban me from the forums. go ahead and do it for the love of civilization, god and your beloved fellow austrailan naker.

I have already banned myself from the forums to avoid unberable arrogance and stupidity of some guys here, so please ban me.

haha serious? Insulting people and demonstating such a harsh tone, especially towards GMs, but all other managers as well, is rude, disrespectful and asking for trouble. And how can you expect your posts to be taken seriously when they are written in such a way?

To frostbite:
we all know him.he has an offensive style and he is never warned for that type of responses.we are all equal but he's more equal than others.:)

Perhaps it comes across as offensive, but I assure you I am just trying to help. I think if you read the majority of my posts you would realise that they are helpful and not generally offensive. But feel free to provide an example of your claim that I am treated with bias by GMs, I can assure you that you won't find one.

To Fanny, Mahody and Direwolf:
Cheers for the backup. But at the end of the day people will think what they want to think :)

Next time you offer advice Naker, don't forget to wrap it in cotton wool and finish off with a pink ribbon tied in a pretty bow.

This is nothing more than a simple culture clash, where a way of speaking in one culture can be seemed as offensive in another. In Australia, we're relaxed about these things and we can often be seen making fun of our mates..

what's that? australian independence day or something? naker for aussie president huh? lol
maybe next time you can insert a smiley or lol which we often do in forums to avoid misunderstandings instead of a pink ribbon.
about that particular thread that fire talked about, the answer it's just you means you know all about 50000+ teams and they don't have the same problem. that's impossible. those type of answers don't mean to help others, it's just another "I am the mr. know it all" attitude from you.

form is temporary class is permanent

Ok, we've all gone fairly off topic here but i think some of the previous posts have summed things up fairly well.

Just take it for what is is, a light hearted attempt at answering a question that got taken the wrong way. We all just need to remember that this is a global game and there are many different cultures, age groups, languages etc that get involved so even if something may seem written a little strangely or a little rude to you, chances are it was not intended that way.

Anyway, let's get back on topic again please.

So all the people in this thread that have said there are no more injuries this season also are just know-it-alls? I told him the right answer. There has been no change to the injury system, so my point was that just because he noticed more injuries in his own team doesn't mean anything. He was essentially asking if there was a change to the BB system that increases the frequency of injuries. Like it has been said here, the answer is no. If you don't understand that then i can't help you.
