Exactly, I've trained a fair share of guards with good JS and JR, great driving and lousy inside shot. They hit a good number of jump shots, but their FG% gets a hit from so many missed layups. And a lot of times, their layups are being defended by opponent's PF or C.

It isn't so untrue, you need really bad shooting guard to give the big guys so many shoots but if your big guys dominate inside, even the guards score high percentage under the basket :)

The question is: does the ability of the guards to score depend on the strength of the big men?

i had guard with no driving, and also some without IS who are playing with comparable Guards who had it and the scroing was at least not so different. With new c i recognized more improvement in shooting from all.

my conclusion it out of it when you play two guards like that

10-10
10-10
5/10-10

and they mostly score the same, with comparable percentages it isn't that important for me(who raise more when you get a better big men). Same counts for IS. It at least my observation because i got quite similiar guards through my career with this strength and weaknesses, where the IS guard could be with the old engine i am not so sure anymore.
