Future predictions. Anyone foolish enough to go 2-3 defense will lose (assuming their opponent doesn't play 2-3)

I am sure someone experienced will still lay down a 2-3 defence and then wonder why their team lost against someone they expected to beat...

Lets see who goes 2-3





PS. Did I mention not to got 2-3 and expect to win?



I doubt smallwolf was trying to disprove this but M2M would've seen him home I'm almost certain. Nothing away from Mizik - great job to finish his division with HCA and perhaps unlucky after 22 games to not have overall HCA. Just can't help feeling that if smallwolf had read around the forums a bit more he would've been convinced not to have used the dreaded 2-3 defence

How can you say this? He went 2-3 zone in the 1st game and won...
In fact....he should have went 2-3 zone in the second game and he would be in the BB3 next season..
I do agree with you on game 3.....should have went man to man

Again...great game Stunners...it was an entertaining final.

As far as the 2-3 def...when reading these lastest posting about the final I was surprised to see I played a 2-3...i thought I played M2m. Hahaha...that is what you get when you out in your line-up at 2:30 in the morning before heading on a road trip.

Anyway, no excuses...my bad! The good news, after well over a year of work and waiting...ending in a 8 hour drive to the US border so we could cross and re-enter Canada again to finalize my wife's permanent Visa..it is finally done. Yeah! I actually woke up at 6:30 am in some hotel and hook up my PC so I could watch the final...too bad I lost :)

How can you fault him for running 2-3 in the final? He won the first game by 3 and I went Look Inside throughout the whole
playoffs. And the only time he did run man to man against me in the 2nd game he lost by 16.
So figuring that he won before he had no idea i wouldn't go look inside again.

I think if he went man to man in game 3 to my LI, he would have lost. I just went with the right tactics.

Say What? I said he should have run 2-3 zone in the 2nd game...There was no way you were going to run LI all 3 games...I think that if he went 2-3 zone in the 2nd game there would not have been a 3rd game..
My post was for Kenny Dalglish( great name BTW even know he lost last night) because he said that a 2-3 wasn't going to win a game....

I don't think he would have won game 2 with a 2-3, especially with my HCA. But it's possible.
He only won by 3 at his home in game 1, but lost by 16 in game 2.

The first win was luck....Stunners had 14 more possessions and if the game had gone to OT there would have been a different winner.

Based on what we've seen Griffins should win with HCA by +5 ish all things being equal whereas Stunners HCA gives him a much higher 15-20point margin. But the fact is that Griffins had 2 home games and I believe he should've snuck home.

Had Mizik had the overall HCA we would've seen +20, -5, +20 to Griffins, +5, -20, +5.

My point about 2-3 is obviously very dramatic but it is well documented that this tactic normally serves up disappointing outcomes. Maybe you guys can have another pop at one another next season!

I think thats about it for me in this forum... I've picked up some players I think can help me re-promote without splurging too much in salary. Some will be trained and kept on my return and the others upgraded when I come back to mix it with you boys again :D
