But overall those lineups works surprisingly well.

Exactly, that is what is strange about it.

While everytime I played this way, player was 15 minutes in his strongest position at most.

i believe it is because the coach includes the bench very well with it, because he makes exchanges every time he have the chanche to do so.

Indeed, while most of the time is team playing "out of positions" anyway. I mean they play like half match or more with 2-3 players out of position and still are very effective.

Well, maybe a whole match with 1-2 players like that, thats why is hard for me to understand what it is about.

maybe your coach is putting your best defender against their best shooter, or best inside defense guard against the best driver to the basket?:D

I think its a great challenge to have something random in the game you cant control that can totally screw you up. Adds some thrilling moments to the game.

Sorry,I don't agree...what can be random is if a shot is X or O,not if a coach make an illogical decision or not

I think it is hard/impossible to code "logic" with the resources the game designers have.

What we can call logic are decisions that can implemented by string of codes
For example:if a team start to fuol in the last minutes of the game, but they aren't able to close the gap and they went -7,-8 in the score, the coach should understand that the game is pratically finish and should stop sistematic foul, unless his team start to score,to avoid a worse point differential that could be decisive for the final place of a team

That would be a lot of code and many many "if x then y"-decisions for so little gain.

Sorry but it's not a lot of code
"if -7 at X time to the end then stop sistematic foul"

What would be the difference if you stopped fouling intentionally if you are losing anyway?

If my players continue to foul I get at least the chance to injure one of the opponents players, that would be a great satisfaction for me and make the loss less painful. Sometimes you might even get some miracle situations where you foul a player he misses both free throws you make a three, same on the next posession and the outcome of the game is still open - I think it does not hurt to commit some "useless" fouls, so why do we need to fix this?

Indeed. And not all matches are league matches; in the POs or in the Cup I'd be angry at my coach for not trying everything to achieve the win.

Ultimately, I think while there might be ways to improve the endgame coaching, the simulation is quite close to the original, and even in real life, many endgame decisions are quite questionable. Of course, the 'wrong' decisions might often hurt; but that is the knowledge of hindsight - in the game, they make a lot of sense.
