Not really a miscalculation. There's no real way of you knowing the prices would collapse without proper guidance from the BB overlords

Doesn't really matter much now anyways. Going to go into a make money mode more than a win mode for the time being, my luck the market will be inflated again when going to come out of it LOL...

Or common sense since this game is still in it's infancy, players haven't fully developed, and the BB's especially Edju still haven't fully figured out what their trying to do.

I think we will see further drops in the future but for now some stagnation.

One easy fix would be get rid of Free Agents....adding more players to the pool when there are fewer teams just kills the market.

That being said, I'm definitely in the game for the long term and know its a long term game.

Well, I may be wrong yet again, but I believe that was the goal of adding FAs. If the econ stagnates as previously stated, then I suppose the devs are ok with where we're currently at.

It is a bit of luck. Whether you could 'forsee' the drop in market values coming or not, it still comes down to the timing of the drop and when you choose to make your move. Other than the devs, I doubt anyone can exactly conclude when the deflation would occur, so how long does one wait to make said move? I don't really complain about the market itself, as long as it's equal for all. If we're all playing by the same rules and parameters, there's really nothing to complain about. The thing I do complain about are salaries, but whatever.

I certainly took a rather large hit because of the market, but I do believe I rolled with it fairly well considering I absolutely could not wait any longer to change. Good luck with your transformation.

"1/13/2011 - 10inch Vertical has just sold Greg Gunderson for $ 1 000."

The guy who bought Gunderson got ripped off, but at least I cleared $970, whoohoo. I'm sure glad I wasted all that money on the draft. pfft

I was gonna buy him, but thought he was overpriced. I was willing to offer as much as $700 for him, but no more than that.
