I would suggest focusing on getting a lvl 4 trainer and not to put much money into for Team Doc. I've had a Minimal Doctor for most of the season and I've had only one lingering injury. For the money I saved I can cover an extra player and now finally start working on my arena. So I'm at 2k(Minimal)/24k (Advanced/Fitness)/6k (Basic/ Crowd Involvement). I'm planning on trying to pick up a cheaper Advanced or better trainer as soon as my Arena is ready for next season.

I would suggest maybe thinking about going that route, with a cheaper Advanced trainer.

I'd also spend 20k on scouting points as many weeks as possible, even if you done scouting for the season, and just save the extras. That extra 140k for the season could end up getting you a great draftee down the line. You just have to remember to think of those points as investments.

I think it's worth having a doctor with massage specialty. I'm not talking happy ending level quality, but a basic or competent doc with massage seems to help when your players accidentally get 75-80 minutes due to some loser scrub fouling out in a scrimmage.

I guess so, I just don't let that happen. Maybe I'll have less luck with that next season though. I might consider looking for a 4k-ish Massage Doc. Just sayin you don't need to spend a bunch of the staff... really don't need an Advanced trainer but you can usually get them on the cheap and they seem to work well.

Scouting Points > Staff. In DV.

Hmm I agree that mercado is out and I will only get rid of a player when they no longer help us to progress. I'm making money right now about 50k . I'm just gonna see where my draftees put me. I just don't know whether i should pick the best three or go for another solid trainee. Unforunately I didn't get to do the one that tells you how old they are.

We have a lot of great outside shooters. Unfortunately, we play all our games indoors.

Do I really need to fire sale like that.?

Yes. With very few exceptions, almost every player the game gives you day 1 is crap. And you can pick up far better players on the market by spending very little. It's the difference between competing to win your league title and spending all your time wondering why the top teams keep betting you.

Do I really need to fire sale like that. I mean I started half way into this season, and I feel like I could easily make playoffs with very minimal increase to my payroll. I have about 50k profit a week and I would like to keep 40k or so at least. So that unrealistic when going for a championship or promotion?

No matter how much you polish a turd, it'll never be a shiny apple. In V, of course, we can win with shiny turds, but at some point we need apples too.

yeah someone said the players you start with day 1 are the equivalent to homeless people you hired to play basketball.

Nah a few of the guys are dudes that just gotta out of prison. One is a part-time law clerk that needs to make a little money on the side and there's the Starbuck's Barista who is a keyboardist in a band on the weekend that is playing ball on the side cause he's freakishly tall and owes a ton of money to the IRS.

So, they are even worse ball players than the homeless?

Yes, that was the point. I also love how the random player creator plays with your mind Hall-of-Famer? Let's make him 25 years old, just to piss you off... oh and give him no ID or OD... and we'll make sure he's 6'7 or 6'8. Perfect.
