I actually picked a good game of the week this time, so I'm kinda happy about that. The seasons almost a third of the way through already as after this week we start inter-conference play.

--Cincinnati Laker Rookie Victor Carbillio on his thoughts on facing the Wacky Waving...........
1. (1) Coal Miners
The Coal Miners have now run there record to 5-0. They beat down two of the lesser members of the Great 8 beating beastode by 55 and the LA Thunder by 48. Cristobal Sacristian Roy and Narcis Dallares might only be fighting themselves for the MVP award. They continue to domininate. This week they look to get some revenge against the Buffalo Wings this week.
2. (3) Cincinnati Lakers
The Lakers switch spots with the Stallions after running through the other members of the Great 8 top 5 with a 4-1 record. They handled the Bollingbrook Tigers pretty easily, beating them by 16. They followed that up with a 45 point win over WWIAFTM. They looked to finally have gotten there offense back, scoring over 100 in both games. They continue to get a total team effort having 5 and 7 players scoring in double figures in both games.
3.(2) Tenn Stallions
Not much to say here. They continue to have the best defense in the league. They gave up a total of 77 points in 2 games. This includes a 22 to 0 3rd quarter against the East Cost Hurricanes. There still a few weeks away from getting some competition. But a nice roll into doesn't hurt at all.
4.(4) Buffalo Wings
The Buffalo Wings delievered on Tuesday night against the Bollingbrook Tigers. They came away with a nice 5 point win over Bollingbrook. They followed that up with a 20 point win over WWIAFTM. Nicholas Faulker put up a nice big game performance scoring 26 points for the Wings. There going to need a performance like that if there going to beat the Coal Miners on Saturday.
5.(5) Bollingbrook Tigers
The Tigers struggled mightly, they still haven't gotten much offensive contribution outside of Yu Yufa and its starting to really hurt them. They lost by 5 to the Wings and by 16 to the Lakers. If someone other than Yufa can't step up this team might be slated to slip into the 4 spot in the tournament. I still think this team is good enough to clinch a playspot on Yufa's shoulders, but if they want to get beyong that, they'll need help. Sitting at 2-3 through 5 games is not what I pitured from them.
6.(7) San Diego Makos
I'm going to slip the Makos one spot ahead of WWIAFTM. They continue to be on a roll. The only team that's beaten them so far this season has been the Tenn Stallions, and they've already won 3 close games this year. If the Makos can stay human, and that may be a big if, this could be a surprise contendor in the Big 8. For now they keep on rolling.
7.(6) WWIAFTM
WWIAFTM had a rough week this week. They lost by a combined 66 points this week. They need a little bit more firepower if there going to contend. Joesph Webster has gotten the job done passing racking up 5 assists per game this season. Even with the signing of Sangga Sanjaya I still think there a move or two away from breaking into the top 4.
8. (NR) detroit lions
The detroit lions move into the number 8 spot in the power rankings. They eeked out a one point win over The Dolphins and unless they get completely destroyed by the Tenn Stallions this week they could stick around in the standings and in the standings of the Big 8. They came up with an 18 point comeback in the 4th quarter to beat The Dolphins, which shows that at least for that day, they'll never say die.
Game of the Week: Coal Miners @ Buffalo Wings
In most likelyhood the Miners will be 6-0 coming into this game. The Wings will be 2 back. The Miners want revenge over last years playoffs loss and continue a perfect season. The Wings just want a
