This is the best news I've read all morning.

Thank you.
I guess things really have slowed down with CT

this is actually true. It is much more visible at older players.

We had a noticable decline in training speed on some of our younger NT players this past season-- 23yo, huge potential types that suddenly wouldn't pop after 7-8 weeks of single position primary training. The only explanation we could come up with is that the cross-training slow-down becomes *much* more dramatic than anyone realized once players get their primaries to NT levels.

I assure you that the change is really not that dramatic. I guess you hit a rough spot.

Well, what do you mean "way" behind. A hypothetical big with all 8 guard skills is generally considered well rounded, but 8 is still *WAY* behind, say, a 17 or 18 inside skill. (E.g., the standard deviation among skills on a 8/8/8/8/8/8 - 17/17/17/10 guy is HUGE, so even though we might consider that guy "well rounded", a number of possible algorithms would see that guy and think mono-skilled monster). But this isn't the right thread for it, and perhaps based on Marin's comment we were seeing something unusual, not typical of the changes.

But unless I'm wrong, no one knows what the "worst-case scenario" is for cross-training, right? We know the average effect is 10%, but we don't know whether the range across players is 8-12%, or 5-20%, or 0-200%.

If one would step in and confirm that CT is NEVER applied to GS and/or that GS is never considered...that would be great....

i dont know how many games you played like this. but in no game will they give "secrets" price when it comes to the code and how thinks work... In most games the Josef Kas find out the truth about the code.

i dont care if your assumption is right or not. but i feel your pain. and i am not happy with CT either cause you have less flexibility how to train your player. wanted to train this player first to 20 OD. but after 5 weeks no OD pop with level 6 trainer i need to change my plan.

but we should talk somewhere else about this subject cause it isnt a bug.
