I am playing this game for about 8 seasons and I have never seen something like this before. And if you take into consideration the training delays and etc , the first thing I can think of is a bug.
So after today's training update. (I will put some extra info in case I can help the developers)

12/2/2011 Pressure for PG
Yiorgos Farakopoulos ↑popped↑ in Outside Def. from tremendous to wondrous .
Ladislav Cuchral ↓dropped↓ in Jump Shot from marvelous to tremendous .
Samuele Conte ↓dropped↓ in Jump Shot from tremendous to prolific .

The first guy is the player I am training and finally got his pop up (maybe irrelevant)
The other two guys had a DOUBLE POP DOWN!
More irrelevant informations are that thes players both played as SFs this week (and all the weeks before that)
And about their age , yes they are 33 and 34 , and its normal their skills to decline , but double pop down? that means in a few weeks they will go to 1! Seriously could need some feedback from a BB or something
(additional information I am happy to offer if asked )

i don't think it's a bug, but it totally sucks. it's completely normal to see drops at older players, and with a low level and high sublevel, etc, you know the rest.

On the same notion has everyone tried trainer with Career extension to prevent these kind of pop downs, for how long it may be effective to extend career of the player with let's say level 6 trainer?

Oh really this means that even lvl 1 trainer with Career extension will prevent drop downs. It would be interesting to know how effective this kind of training is.

Trainer level does not influence specialty(career extension) in older players (> 32) but level will help minimize skills drop points even for older players.

I think that Raymund meant that, only if you train a 32+ player, the level of the trainer influence the drop speed.

I think he stated that the higher the age the higher level trainer with career extension you need and it doesn't conflict with notion that specialties doesn't have levels. Am I right?

And I don't think it's dumb to train 32+, I would like to have player like Jason Kidd who can play high level until he is 40 with high experience.

His statement was fairly ambiguous and i don't think he will rephrase:)
