well @ the start every1 had allstar* unlimited potential so every1 was good

i had had a starter nearly in an U21 world cup team, not sure if he made the final cut but he was very close. see lot of good stars.

And sorry,i hear always 19 year old ain't worth to be scouted or drafted we had 22 year old trainee, to have at least some skills at the start ;) 6th men could reach a decent level, not div 1 or 2 starter but even there backup, but nobody trains them since there are so many better players out there.

Since the number of training spot don't raise, an increased quality would move the to bad to training spot higher.

the difference would be instead of having to train a random spanish player in australia, which u can do right now for peanuts a 19yo 4k superstar the week after the draft sells for $50k or less, u could actually train up ur own draft pick like every real nba team does every season but which is close to impossible in bb

they don't do that every season, and those players also end up beeing to weak or just good enough for the bench quite often which isn't considered reasonable here.

no i agree u r right

only 90% of nba teams train their draft picks not all

pity it is like 10% here

& u r also right

durant, howard, rose, westbrook, smith, duncan, wade, pierce, bynum they all suck

oh no they dont

yeah basically vast majority of nba teams have at least one star who was their draft pick it would be a lot more but unlike in BB the stars can chose to leave like lebron

Yeah, you also get teams like Denver and Memphis where they did what you say, but it didn't work out. Or Memphis where Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo jus never quite lived up to it...

Or lets not forget Sacremento.

The door goes both ways. So snapping at the guy to prove your point may make you feel important and right... but the fact is, both of you are partially correct.

never said it, i just say that not 90% of the team get a future star with there first round pick. often they are bench players, often they are traded right after or short time before the draft(not to forget the one traded much earlier), often they continue there career in europe after 1-2 years of failing expectations.

It is not like that NBA team, get everyseason a future Superstar.

Also i doubt, you can really compare it since the market is much more limited over there and the contract have a other value/quality ratio especially for draft.

The player who are selled by the spanish 2,3,4 league teams en masse, get your training space since they simply fit better to your team or are better(but they also come from the same draft system) and there need for the market is very low since there many dudes that quality looking for a team. I think NBA teams get pretty complete players, who all get training(even if they play more then train)

To use one of the Crazyeye argument, if we had better draft than now, there would be no more reason to train locally. Everyone will just pick a spanish player better than what we got now.

You draft an aussie Perennial All Star with this and that. The spanish team is selling an MVP with a little more of this and a little more of that. People will buy the spanish player as they do now.

Denver did this in this past draft with the French guy.

ok u are right about 1 thing being snappy wasnt nice so i aoplogise

but u r wrong totally even ur examples show how wrong u are a hilarious attemt u just shot urself in the foot

denver is a total mess i dont know what they r doing but i did only claim the vast majority

memphis best players r rudy gay, mark gasol, oj mayo & zach randolph the first 3 were trained by memphis & rudy gay was a draft pick & marc gasol played his whole career here your example proves my point

sacramento proves my point even more best players cousins & evans both home grown draft picks

yet in bb how many teams in the top leagues have their best player as their own draft pick?

& i hope this doesn't come across as snappy just really amused

i'm not saying that every 1st round draft pick turns into a star cause lets face it he vast majority dont but that there are enough that most teams can have some starters that r their draft picks & a lot have their best player as their draft pick whereas it is rare here

i had a brief look @ the top german league & the first 6 teams i looked @ didnt have 1 of their top 5 players as a home drafted guy

the balance here is wrong

Isn't a lot of great teams in BB have their top player not drafted?
