Great discussion everyone. I admit a lot of these problems are my fault but I did announce that I would be snowed under with school work this season and had to cut down my responsibilities. Still it is awesome to see so many great ideas going about. A couple of things seem fixed. Two equal leagues of 12 teams each. With just 24 teams in total I think shrinking to three Federations is a logical consequence, does anyone object?

I also don't think anyone would object to the Calamari and Sharks continuing (although the Sharks will need to create a new Federation as no-one has admin rights for the old one apparently).

Mllama are you happy to be the boss of the new proposed Platypi?

i see ur points about change being needed.. but i still think unless you change the attitudes of the people in the leagues, mixing up the calamari guys is not the solution...

So if the Sharks and Calamari stay the same, the last fed will just be the leftovers correct? Assuming that no one on the inactive list is a Shark or Calamari they'll still have to cut people from their federation due to the PL being reduced to 24 managers. Hence why I am suggesting a re-draft compiled of 3 feds 3 captains with 2 protected picks. This means the Sharks and Calamari don't have to forcibly cut managers from their team.

I think this is probably the fairest way to distribute managers throughout the federations, we won't be left with a super team like in the NBA (coughLAKERScough).

Well I hope most if not all the Calamari can remain we really have eight guys right now we are very happy with, likewise the core of active Sharks including Koop, JW, Akuma, bainsynator88 and you seems good. What we need to do is add together the active members of Kevin and the Oil Tankers and create a new Miami-like instant superteam. It is time for mllama to take his talents to South Beach.

I'm happy to take charge if it means I get to boss people around

Hmm, lets see, Kevin had 4 ABBL teams this season. And the Oil Tankers had 4. And its 8 teams per federation*

Perhaps a redraft is best? ;)

* Note, before all the D2/3/4 Kevin and Oil Tankers get worried, I'm not suggesting I would actually take all the ABBL teams

i would be happy to do a re-draft of sharks/kevin... that seems like a good move..

i guess we just have to wait and see who is in and who isnt, before we go re-inventing the wheel

bainsy and i used to be pretty active in sharks, but we chat more in steam than anywhere else.. and hopefully next season we are in different leagues, so it will be good!

I agree with leeroy, skyhookz, mllama and yara park bears on this one.

Sharks are not even active anymore... we barely have 1 post in the feds per week. It was not like the good ole days.
In saying that I would like to commend bainsy and skyhookz on initiating most of the discussion that does go on in there.
Sometimes I even feel I have let those two down with my lack of interest in the discussion or even the PL itself. Its not their fault, its just that my motivation has changed somewhat.

Times have changed, and we have to change with it or leave a lot of people isolated or unhappy. This is why I am happy to have redraft. I am not speaking on behalf of the sharks, I am speaking on behalf of Koopasaurus LOL

I have taken a backseat in most of these discussions for some time now. I won't deny that I have lost interest. Change
in priorities and burn out all contributed to it. Back in the day, there was only Calimari versus Sharks, and that was easy to manage. MVP writeups and what not was easily done cos of the high motivation at the time. Now that everything is so much larger in scale, planning and writeups became tedious.

If we ever do go the shark, caliamri, platypus route... I would give my blessings for skyhookz and bainsy to take a lead role in captaining the sharks or planning cos they are very enthusiastic and youthful about it.
