I like the shot block tuning as a single and separate, needed move , although we weren't told how its supposed to work and what areas will it cover.
When we're officially been told though that "...we have increased the impact of shot-blocking in the game engine in an effort to promote tactical balance and to hopefully deviate away from the look-inside dominance..." , then im overly disappointed with the measure taken.
It was decided to mediumise the offensive LI dominance, by upping a defensive skill that all teams, those playing LI included, could easily choose to use?
How will it be tested on the highest levels, where results can be more accurate? Are top league and BB3 teams expected to deviate from LI, because of this change?
A top LI team will still be competing with another top LI team and the better set up and allrounded skillset wise(blocks included) will still win.
In my opinion, there is zero chance, enough top teams,in order to have a good and credible sample, switching from LI to perimeter offenses(just for the sake of SB tuning) for start. Let alone the latter ones winning.
Im too new in the game to know all the tactics and how they work. Im not even sure whether LI itself is dominant mainly because of the GE either.
But i've had enough time in the game to realise that JR contributes to little more than nothing. Unless we are happy to see top guards, in top teams, no matter what the offensive tactic is, with massive salaries, JSs and JRs shooting consistently way below (any realistic)average.
I love basketball and i accept one-two tactics being more dominant, even if i dont enjoy playing them myself. What i greatly dislike, is seeing the best guards in the game, shooting with 10% for 3pt or a game with zero 3p made, just because LI is selected.
