OK this is BS, my starter is going to get 36 minutes today. I played 10 guys, a starter and back up in every position except the one i'm training where i listed the same starter back up and third string.

The game is what it is.

My self and others have told you how to get your trainees to each play 48 mins, hell I was competitive in Div II in Australia 5 6 or so seasons ago whilst playing only 7 players per game so as to ensure that my 18 & 19 year old trainees could get 48 minutes whilst training single position.

If your playing players out of position for training purposes you need to swap that players defensive role with another player

This is a joke and is ruining the game

With respect you are the joke.

You got experienced managers from this game to give up their time to post advise on how to train players properly in single position, but you havent heeded our advice and instead keep on whinging

so what your saying is people have told me to do:
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/72417769/boxscore.aspx
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/72417737/boxscore.aspx and
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/72417745/boxscore.aspx
and they have told me if i do that it will ensure that my trainee gets 48 minutes right, crazy how i've done that yet they are still not getting the minutes. Also that whole swapping player defensively, guess you can't see that, but based on my stats I clearly have been doing that. So maybe before you jump on someone do your research.

In this case the explanation is simple. If it is a blowout and you have a spare player on the bench (Covelo) he will always get subbed into the game.

Please refer to my post (261684.18)

In the 3 games that you mentioned above, you suited up 9 players in each game.

If training and the game in general was meant to be easy, noobs would have nothing to learn and people would quickly get bored with the game

Ensure that your trainees have high inept or above stamina, suit up only 7 players per game and use defensive swapping if playing a trainee out of position for training purposes

In garbage time, the coach tries to put every starter on the bench. If you have 10 players dressed, and nobody is injured or fouled out, none of your starters will remain in.

i'm confused why BB should come out with something saying no player is guaranteed 48 minutes in a game? why would this be a good thing and why would this be realistic. If a coach was told to play a guy for the entire game and not take him out, in any real basketball game, that guy would get 48 minutes every time, or at least as long as he did not get injured. I just don't understand why this can't be done in BB, especially if training, the most important aspect of the game, is tied to it.

No bad luck in this at all.

Just bad management to be too stubborn and obstinate to not listen to the advise of only suiting up 7 players.

this thread was the first i've ever read about suggesting to suit up only 7. Everything else has always suggested dressing 9, a starter and back up for each position except the one your training. Also that seem like really bad coding if you need to only dress 7 to ensure that your player gets full training. Its unbelievably unrealistic, no basketball team in the world suits 7 players. It a major determent when you trying to be competitive. It just don'r not make any sense to me for a game to tie everything important to training and then force you to be very suboptimal lineup and unrealistic lineups to ensure that the person you want actually gets the training.
