Okay here goes nothing:
Love for Wiggins trade never happens, but talks resume between Wolves and Warriors, and Love gets traded for Klay Thompson. Both teams miss the playoffs.

D-Rose comes back with an MVP caliber season, before being reinjured in January.

Kobe returns to lead the Lakers back to the playoffs, but they lose in the semis to the Thunder.

Joel Embiid returns to the horrible 76ers after the all-star break, ends up leading the team in ppg, rpg, and bpg.

Bosh averages 25 points, 12 rebounds without LeBron, but the Heat miss the playoffs.

Cavs are the 6th seed in the East, bow out of the playoffs in the first round vs Raptors.

Jabari Parker is ROY.

Carmelo Anthony shines under the leadership of Phil Jackson, and finally realizes his potential, winning MVP honors and picking up the #1 seed in the East.

Knicks beat out the Hawks and Nets to make the semis but lose to the Raptors, who sweep the Thunder with the help of the Based God Curse for the team's first championship.

Lol I love how all of those were pretty bold predictions except for the Jabari Parker one which is incredibly realistic.

I let it get a little ridiculous there with the Knicks but whatever. I also see the Celtics back in the playoffs this year.

0 for 1 already. As a KU fan I'm disappointed in Cleveland. I hope Wiggins pulls a Kobe and makes them pay.

It's crazy that there have been two injuries like this in basketball over the past year. In the past, the gruesome compound fractures only happened in football.

So, another star player is conveniently losing a lot of weight (muscle) very quickly. This time it's Carmelo Anthony:

From what I've read, this is the first season the NBA has mandatory HGH testing. So... what's your GM opinion? Suspicious, or not? (take a look at the lebron pics a couple posts up... yikes...)

I didn't know that about the testing, but now that I do, I think it is a little suspicious. I just don't see any motive for a player like LeBron, who has a very physical playstyle, to cut weight like that, unless he had to. It'll be interesting to see if any other players have slimmed down, and if the way these two play is affected.

Actually, strike that. Don't know if HGH is actually being tested for yet. Just read a number of people claiming it was. And remembered that the new commissioner was pushing hard for it:
Incoming NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said in a New York Post report Tuesday morning that the league will look to add HGH blood testing of its players, a policy change that will likely come once the NBPA names a new executive director. Silver, who will replace longtime NBA commissioner David Stern in February, added that he knows it will get done

Anyway, this whole rapid weight loss thing already happened in baseball. And we all know why. So it makes you wonder...

Holy shet, almost didn't recognise Melo.

I could see the benefit of slimming down to extend careers, but didn't think about the HGH angle. Possibly flushing junk outta their systems....sad if it's true.
