While people are throwing out ideas, I just thought of one. How about all free agents under say 22 instead of becoming FAs get put into a separate draft once a season. It kind've incorporates the older/useful player thing without modifying the current draft. Probably needs further defining: over 70 TSP and some other modifiers. Not sure how you decide the order, if it's reverse order it may increase tanking. Unless you have to invest lots of money to this new draft, it'll also not take as much money out of the game as the current system. How you decide which FAs go into which leagues draft I'm not sure. Maybe these FAs could just be added to the current draft pool and you get an extra pick or two per season, I don't know.

So, on balance right now I don't actually like it, but there's possibly something there that someone smarter than me can work out?

In general: I enjoy these! Shame the offsite is a closed shop for USA managers, but I guess I understand why it is.

Re: the draft

I'm not sure if the choir is fully assembled yet, but you're preaching to them. There's no reason that there shouldn't be multiple 22-23 year old "college seniors" who are good enough to at least be primary backups for the league in every single draft.

I love that idea.

I posted my long winded version because I would love to get a big big discussion going and see if there is a consensus or at least a solid direction that most agree with that we could present to the powers that be that might be able to make a change that have a huge impact on the fun of the game, and bringing in, and keeping new users :-)

I like that was well because it preserves the idea of the u21 but rookies could still have an imediate impact if they were a little bit older.

Sorry, propriety secrets...and our attorneys haven't come up with a legal, binding, international confidentiality agreement yet :-)

For anyone that wants to buy it, send me a bb-mail...it's less expensive to buy it directly from me than through Barnes and Noble or Amazon.

We are close to converting the book to a script, and then the Production company and I will choose a cast, and film the Pilot Episode that we will shop to the Networks. We are already guaranteed at least 1 season on Netflix, but my pie in the sky hope is we get picked up by Fox or CBS.

James Mahody? I would have let you use Yuck. Yuck Mahody. Imagine the number of copies you would have sold!

I love the "college seniors" idea to preserve the current U21 setup.

Congrats on the show! I'll definitely have to check it out with my wife. I guess I never realized you were in real estate ( maybe I did but forgot). So if I need some help buying rentals I know who to talk to, huh? ;)

wow, congratulations!

Speaking of Fox, I hope this gets you another segment on their morning news. "I'll take you out to lunch even if I don't win the $10,000!" (paraphrasing maybe) That was awesome.

New development on my soon to be TV Show :-) This week Clare Kramer (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004456/?ref_=nv_sr_4) signed on for the leading role in the Pilot episode! She was in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Bring it On among others...She's a known actress, and ads a lot of credibility to the project...I'm pretty psyched!!
