you guys u will only get an edge with full court press if it fits your team. its not the best defense on this game, its just a pressure defense that will make the other team use more time on the clock to get the ball up the floor and it causes more turnovers because the other team must be good passers and good ball handlers. it will make boths teams tired because they have to work more. it works better vs run and gun and push the ball because u will be guardin your man the whole court and he wont be able to get open with his speed.

This is bogus and, all in all, false. There is no particular reason why FCP should work better against these particular tactics.

that maybe the only point he is right, there is one reason ;) The prohability is higher to make an fault in handling and passing with fast tactics, and a full court press mostly works in the first seconds, so that you don't profitate from more contacts with slow tactics.

The other think what could be right is the stamina one, i cann't proof it but i would say that this is right because i believe you loosing an specific amount of stamina for each offense you are run.

When I played FCP for a few games, I actually suffered stamina drops to several players over a couple of weeks. Not sure if this is the added effect of FCP, since I also played a couple of other defenses here and there. I stopped playing FCP for the most part, and while I haven't had enough games to really check, it seems my random stamina drops are less widespread each week if I'm not playing FCP. Can anyone else connect weekly stamina losses to playing FCP, or are the drops truly random?

But that effect wouldn't carry over beyond the game. So my stamina drops really were just random. That's good, because I like using FCP occasionally and don't want to have to train stamina afterward. I did suffer a definite downturn in 4th quarter shooting while using FCP, which probably has something to do with running a fast-paced defense.

so what level of stamina would you say a team needs in order to run FCP well AND maintain their relative quality in the 4th quarter?
