In fact...we beat Paulo's team in our only encounter.

Our league record in that time has been 88-45.

Question is this, and this is to how most play the game, what are your objectives?

I could probably sell off my trainee Poudrier for $2.5 million plus and help my club in other areas, while continuing to train players with Inside D, Inside Scoring etc. to improve the front court. Poudrier is close to being with the NT, and, is still receiving training which can't be said for some of the players ahead of him on the NT roster.

So...I have put my interests in training a center over the results of the club. I know that. Therefore, we probably won't be to the Naismith for a few more years as I plan to sell of some trainees again in this early season.

As you can see from my transfer record, I am interested in buying players cheaply, training them, and then selling them for profit. The cash will continue to come and the wins will come later.

I think that no one makes it to Naismith without doing that. Also, this is not HT where the best strategy is to stay in the lower divisions on purpose.

You beat Paulo by one point back in season 4... I also note that you had home court advantage. Not exactly a fair comparison.

Finally, the competition in II.2 is nothing like Naismith. Most of your games should be easy wins for a team that has been around as long as you.

I am not sure where I said anything about making the U21 Great. We can only make progress with what we have at our disposal. Playing against other countries with greater talent pools will make that tough. I spoke about realistic goals, commitment and a style of play that I prefer in my U21 speech.

@Rip88 - the NT manager has a responsibility to communicate to the public what they are doing through the forums and team page.

Even with Rip88 running the NT, you have been elected to do the job. I really don't care to critique your performance, because at the end of your term, your management will speak for itself. Either as a success or not. But in the interim, I really don't feel that it is necessary for me to tell you how to run the team. It is why you ran and were elected. If the Canadian community feels that you have done poorly, you may not get in the next time around (assuming you decide to run again).

How does this style of thinking promote communication in the Canadian community? Discussion is good. But it also has it's place. At the end of the day, you are the one as a NT manager who makes the final decisions. If you feel it is important to let the Canadian community know every detail of your decisions, that is fine, however I don't think a grand justification is needed for every move you make.

That is my two cents...would be nice to hear from someone other than RiP88 and thenewchuckd.

Anyhow, sorry if I was harsh. I do appreciate that you are running and the debate you are creating. It has been seriously lacking on both the NT and U21 level the past few seasons.

A question to all of the candidates - how would you communicate/convince the owner of a promising player, let's say this player (7971965), to train him correctly? As the U21 coach is responsible for developing talent, this would seem to be the most critical aspect (to find talent and ensure it is correctly trained).
