Wow Toranaga... you are going out of your way to find insult where there's none!
You haven't even acknowledged that you were in error on your reading of what I said about GS! And on ratings - man... I even said "you know this", but you continue to use them as an unfair basis of comparison.

Point to a single thing that I have said that's inflammatory. You're wrong on me trying to slight you on both the GS and on ratings.
Come on toranaga, I had thought you were better than this...

@Wolph - I'm not trying to be a mediator. All along, I've said "shoot Swoosh a BBmail, he'll respond". Imagine if each of us questioned the NT coach every time we felt our player wasn't getting enough run. Geez, it'd be a messy thread! It happens, and probably in all NTs. We all love our players a lil' more than the NT coach does!!! That of itself is fine...
Only thing happening here is Toranaga misinterpreting what I've said...

I agree with Wolph on "advice on NTs". We can't play the same game as the big nations - we have to do something different.
This is something we've talked about in this very thread...
And I'd argue that there are lots of important skills on every player for our NT...
Just my thought on that topic!

Some people check all the players on the TL every week. I just look at the Nippon players & note down any good ones. Any NT level player that has been up for sale over the last 6+ seasons I have seen. So I imagive I have a better knowledge of their skills than anyone but LA-Izaman, Swoosh, BB-King & maybe Wolph.

Any time Hideki Ochi does not play I understand, there are better combo guards, he is only good if you want to play LI, LP or patient and want a SG that can defend, score inside and pass to the bigs. I have never complained/questioned why he does not play I understand.

Takayoshi Kishita is even more extreme. Without publically airing his skills he is super specialised and really amazing in certain strategise and very limited in others. Some weeks he is useful other weeks he is a liability even for me at lower than NT level. He is a unique player I have looked on the TL for similar players many times and they are rare. I never complain/question if he does or does not play.

Takayoshi Kawagichi was almost never played by BBKing who prefered plyers with much worse secondaries but since took over he has joined Yasuyoshi Honda, Haruki Fujii & Naoya Ueda as regular rotation players. Again he would be bad in certain strategies & is slightly behind the others so his playing does depend a bit on GS. Since BBking left I have never questioned/complained as he has been playing when he deserved to & suited the strategies and not playing when he didn't deserve it.

As far as the bigs go. I am led to believe (cause he hasn't been sold) thatK-Mart has amazing secondaries. Awesome. He should be in every week as long as his GS is decent. Kouzo Yasujiro is the future of the team he should always be playing too given good GS. But Eita has some incredible secondaries as well. I made my team horrible last season to train his OD & PA up a but but they train slowly as you know in 24yo 6'11" guys. This season I was told he needs more RE & ID so guess what I have been doing?

I try to find and decent salary PFs with his level of secondaries on the TL. That tells me if he is a common player or not. Guys with triple stupendous + primaries are a dime a dozen there are 10 for sale right now. Eita is not.

Backing up what Wolph said check out Enrique Cabra (13276457) Spanish NT player with his wondrous PA & prolific + 1on1 skills now that is an amazing player. That is the secondaries the big nations have.

So often when BBKing was the coach I could have bought the players he was playing on the NT if I had wanted to as they were monoskilled, old, had no future & were selling very cheaply, often for $2-400,000 because everyone in the BBworld could see that they were nothing special. But I didn't because they were not good players & I could see that mine were better. Then I watch these lesser players play while my guys sat. He did the same to Yuusuke Tsunami. He played worse players & the team lost.

At least you're not freaking out on me this time...

As far as the bigs go. I am led to believe (cause he hasn't been sold) thatK-Mart has amazing secondaries. Awesome. He should be in every week as long as his GS is decent.

K-Mat (no 'r')... is pretty decent. I'm happy with the direction he's taking.
There have been times where he either hasn't played, or hasn't had as much run as I like... but I either understand *why* (7 GS one time), or have BBmailed to have a conversation on him with Swoosh. There have also been times where he's been a focal point of the team. It all ebbs and flows. As we say, "merry-go-rounds and swings"...
I've never sung him up - but I have occasionally expressed being pleased when he has a good game (like last game - the one you're complaining about Wakatsuki not playing). Because I don't talk about him, his training or skills I'm not sure what leads you to believe anything about him.

Yasujiro is part of the future of this team. We have a good mix of bigs now - and because of that there will be weeks where one of them isn't in the mix. K-Mat's missed out before, I'm sure if I scroll through games Yasujiro would have too. Last week it was Wakatsuki.
So?
My point is - and has been all along - that I'm sure Swoosh has a very good reason for that, and in all likelihood it's something that he doesn't want to discuss in open forums. I'm sure you don't want him discussing Wakatsuki specifically in this forum, just as we all *don't want* about our players... or the NT.
We just have to get our players to the point where we don't need the Furusawas and Hayakawas of this virtual basketball world. We're getting there.

We're all working hard for the future of the NT. You're fortunate to be reaping the benefits of an All-Nippon team that you've worked hard to construct, and is the envy of many managers here (myself included... as far as having an All Japanese team). And you've worked hard to get to that place - something we all recognize.
But with all due respect, that confers no special privileges.

Oh... and on searching, I get the same result

For Matsumoto, Tim & Torii. I have to just keep training, and get (with a bit of conversation/direction with YC/Swoosh) K-Mat/Bird to places their respective NT coaches are happy with, and sustainable for my team. And try to get Tim to a place where the HK team *HAS* to take him (which is highly unlikely given he's only 'superstar').

Well, If Asano gets another OD pop and passing pop, he should go from PF to SF and that would be sweet. I just wish I could train his OD next week but I have another cup to win. Also, Maeda got the holy grail double yesterday, the OD ID double.

I can tell you this.....Eita will have a hard time getting minutes this week....there are loads of players in 9 GS with 7 digit DMIs...should be interesting to see who HAL(the computer from space O) will choses this Monday. Swoosh will choose his 12 but the computer will choose the minutes.

Here is the thing, this week I can see why. Furusawa, K-Mat (I think K-Mart if funnier) & Yasujiro are locks. Then it is out of Asano, Motoori, Eita & Takayama to see who gets the right to sit on the bench. It is when he is proficient & other guys are respectable & he still doesn't play that is puzzle.

In other news Takayoshi Kishita fouled out in 24 minutes tonight wrecking my training for the 2nd time in 3 weeks, for a guy who averages 2 fouls a game this fouling out in 24 & 21 minutes is really annoying. Maybe his ID isn't high enough lol. Could be another week of stamina with rebounding shelved yet again.
