Yes. If he is in red for the next game, he is out. There is no way to know the length until the end of the current game and the roster is updated.

Question: Calum
Wait, does that mean that you can tell straight away if anyone is injured in the entire game by trying to set the next line-up?

Answer: ardain
You check to see if he can be put into a future game. If he can, no injury will result.

Follow-Up Question: BFiddy

For some reason, I am thinking that the checking needs to be done during the first half...but I may be confusing this with cup game payout. Do future injuries still show up in "Set Your Lineup" during the second half of the game, after the home/cup money disappears?

I think they do. You can check your cup result until halftime, but injuries continue to show until the player is healed.

We will succeed when we can develop offensive talent, and not just speed players. BTW, I am a referee at the youth and HS level....technically we are very poor compared to the Europeans.

One problem I see here is that parents, get their kids (boys and girls) into Soccer Clubs at waaaaay too young an age and for all the wrong reasons and by the time they get to high school they are burned out from the game from either overplaying or from having poor coaches who are into winning and not developing the kids. Winning at age 8/10/12 is not everything....

Most interesting and challenging draw for next round: myopic mauraders at bmg

See how Clemens petty does against a top level team. IIRC he had NT potential skills.

I used to help some coaches with tactical training here in the U.S. and sat in on one of my friends youth training - he heads one of the more successful youth clubs in Scotland. It's tactically that I see the kids here struggle. Over the last decade or so I think the latin influence has helped us technically, at least as concerns ball skills. We aren't, say, where many of the East Asian countries are anymore in relying purely on industry at the upper levels. The youth systems of the Euro countries are also scrambling now trying to figure out how to generate competitive upper level players. The strict tactical systems of some of the traditional Euro powers struggle to produce players with enough individual flair to succeed in their league systems, and some of the traditional South American powers struggle to adhere their players in a formation disciplined enough to get the most out of their best players. In all, I think we're headed in a good direction.

And btw, my daughter is not a soccer player....my son was but not her....I would agree soccer is headed in the right direction but let the kids play, too much parental involvement. Far too many think that their kid will get a scholarship especially if they start them early. They truly have to love the sport that they are playing....that in turn gives them the drive to succeed.
