From the game manual,

An inside or outside focus means that teams will try to get more inside/outside shots, but the players will still take the best shots they can, and if the opposing inside defense is making it impossible to score near the basket, they won't attempt many inside shots no matter what you do.

I usually play outside offense, but whenever my opponent plays 3-2 or 1-3-1, I see more inside shots. From experience, I found teams with good shot blocking and playing one of those defense troublesome.

shotblocking isnt only just the blocks in a game but raises the possibility the opponent to shoot with defence and not a free shoot which has more chances to go in.

shotblocking also helps i think if someone uses zones like 3-2...some shotblocking can make the difference

i average 8 blocks the game, so the other makes -5? And i have just one blocker who is sligthly in the double figures.

Edit: sry 2, one have 10 since the beginning of these season, the other 11.

my team averages over 10 blocks per game as a team, and opposition shoots less than 30% against me. So what if my best Shotblocker has only 2.0 blocks per game

Blocking shots isn't just blocking. If it was. Dwight Howard would be a no name player comparitvely. "all he does is effect 3 shots a game" ....its much much more.

Maybe blocked shots only happen on your team 3 times a game because your team's SB sucks :P

Nah but seriously, I would read through the rest of this thread before you go making comments about something that has been previously stated and proven wrong with reliable examples a million times.

I'm still trying to figure out why I lost my last B3 match, and ironically I have very low SB, which resulted in 0 shot blocks during all match!!

however, I have monster ID, and obviously that doesn't seem to help that much..

I have been always skeptical to SB, but I should probably give it a shot now..
