Just open it with (http://www.OpenOffice.org) (free to use) and replace those "7"s (respectable) with any number you want. Then read the salaries, knowing the salary the game would use is the highest of the 5 numbers shown.

Also know that there is a web based calculator on (http://www.buzzer-manager.com/en/) (you need a BB Access-key: see (/prefs/profile.aspx)). It gives you the exact same results, and gives you an option for FT and Stamina which has no impact on the result. So I believe it is constructed the same way.
If however, what you want is to view the colored chart of weights, you can view a picture here: (http://imageshack.us/m/855/4256/salaryweights.png)

If anyone has any more questions, send me a BB-Mail. or use the sourceforge website.

I opened it with 2010. Explains it. As for the one on bb-manager...it doesn't calculate the deflation does it? I thought that the one you posted did and that's why I was curious to look at it. Thanks.

No, mine calculates salaries based on season 15, using Josef Ka's season 15 deflation coefficient, as does the web-based one I posted.
I have yet to find a calculator that works for S16, but I'm sure one could build one with pretty good accuracy using the new "monster/not-monster" deflation coefficients from Josef Ka.
I personally don't know how to program in an "IF, THEN" sort of way using OpenOffice, so I wouldn't be able to.

I see. Now let me ask you this. You are training a SG and JS makes his salary jump, if you trained up other skills to make him a PG, would his salary reduce as the PG's JS cost less or would the other skills trained offset the salary reduction due to the change in position? So essentially a SG trains passing and handling and ends up switching to a PG....since those two skills are basically free to a SG but costly to a PG, would the switch of position to a PG end up allowing the player to stay at the same salary, or would it reduce due to position change? OR does it vary? Very curious as I am just now getting in to this part of the game...

Hey, absolutely agree.
But I don't think my "tool" warrants a thread of its own, which is why I'm asking further questions to be asked through BB-Mail or the sourceforge website, not here.

As for the earlier question about skills costs, training a SG in passing will not increase his BB salary. However his virtual PG salary will increase and eventually will exceed his SG salary, at which point he will be listed as a PG and further passing training will cost you. You can't decrease a player's salary, but you can increase his value without altering his salary, so in a way, you could say he becomes "cheaper".

New minor version
v2.0.2 (20110505):
- update: the tool now uses the new dynamic salary computation for season 16 onwards, including the extra dampening at the top end, for discussion see (182771.1)
- ...

I must have missed it, was it always like this ? This is great, thanks!

You are wrong, it definitely does. It will be easier to find and point at. If someone has questions about it, it will be the place to ask them.

It's a useful, easy-to-use tool, thank you :)

I think it's about, because you at Sheet "My Data" to have the first name and then just press Ctrl + V need. This is how it should work. (So do not add content, just Ctrl + V). Hope for you that it shall pass. - Sorry for my bad english ...
