ouch... tough Div III league.

Now is a good time to compare the two conferences, because everyone has played everyone else once only.
Of the top 8 Offences (PF), the first 7 come from the Big 8
Yet the Top 8 Defences (PA), 4 come from each conference.
Of the Top 8 Points difference, the first 6 are from the Big 8.

I was going to share some stats from Buzzer-manager but the site is down! grrrrr. ill post some more when it comes back online.

PD - 5-3 split

all in favor of the Big 8

OK Buzzer-manager is working now.

Pretty much Big 8 dominate all statistical fields, top 6 for most, top 3 for almost all. Snuffies are the leaders of FG%, FG%against, lowest turnovers. Vipers have the best 3PT%, yours truely is leading assists, efficiency, rebounds (of all things?) ... Vios block the most shots, Windies steal the ball the most, whilst myself and snuffies tie for protecting the ball the best, Rangas have the the most number of fouls, thanks mainly to Mr Gab Wall.

Interesting stat - Offesnive rebounds. Hadders Heroes has that title nailed! by quite a margin as well. 15.2 per game, the next best is Vios with 13.5
The other thing which is interesting is FT% - To prove that you dont have to be a good FT shooter to win games, the worst free throw shooting teams in the league are tannum, vipers and snuffies... in that order. all shooting below 63%. tannum - 53.8% ... thats lowwwwwwwwwwww man.
another interesting stat is Vios having the ball stolen the most times in the league! Whilst most of the other top teams are only having it stolen 4-5 times per game, Vios is having his pocket picked 10.7 times per game! Full court press anyone?

Salaries tell the story though. The top 6 salaries are from Big 8. In fact the worst thing is that both All-sorts AND team lordy are both below the salary floor for this league, which, is not just tanking, but throwing away good money!

Wow I knew my FT% was low but I didn't realise it was that low...To be honest in the past I haven't really considered FT shooting when buying players - might have to pay some more attention though.

My PG is shocking - he misses more than he makes this season 45.8% that is terrible for my main ball handler. Need to sort that out at some stage...

Nice summary mate.

Any chance of ranking the salaries by team for the league, 1 - 16?

You've won 5 in a row, must be doing something right...

Be that as it may Matt, take a look out how the teams above mine have gone in the last 8 games

Snuffies - 7-1
Linguists - 7-1
Mooses - 6-2
Giant - 7-1
Windies - 7-1
Vipers - 7-1
Storm 6-2

so in fact, despite winning my last 5, i gained absolutely no ground on anyone above me, which is a little disheartening

now THAT is an interesting stat. So basically, the scoreline for games Big 8 v Great 8 was.

52 - 12

thats amazing.

as Matty requested, teams listed in order by salary. This is team salary though, and really, most teams are measured by their starting 5, so ive put that teams salary rank just based on their best 5 players, in brackets.
ill keep the salary's secret for now :) i like this ranking because it really shows who is getting the most bang for their buck.

1 - Snuffies (2)
2 - Moosas Mad Men (1)
3 - Corio Bay Giants (5)
4 - Geelong Vipers(6)
5 - Cunning Linguists (8)
6 - South Gisborne Storm (4)
7 - Vios Violationers (3)
8 - Mad Rangas (7)
9 - tannum tantrums (9)
10 - Hadders Heros (11)
11 - Perth Power Hustlers (10)
12 - West Indies (13)
13 - TeamAkuma (12)
14 - Northcote Slammers (14)
15 - TEAM LORDY (15)
16 - All-Sorts (16)

Of course one could always login to buzzer-manager themselves and get these stats and more, for free. :)))))))

Well though I have been in Thailand the last couple of weeks, I have been keeping an eye on the league and how things are progressing. I would like to remind those newbies to this league that over the last couple of seasons this league has been one of the closest comps going. Basically put it down to luck of you landing here right after most teams made their run, failed and are now looking at a future build.

I can also guarantee you that my team last season would have struggled to have lost a game this season. It's amazing that I've managed to hold a spot so close to the top in my conference, I had honestly expected to fight for relegation based on previous seasons.

I'm very glad to be able to kick back and ease the pressure after sitting in the top four for some time now and be able to train some juniors and not worry about pushing for ABBL. Hopefully everyone isn't ready for launch in the same season again when i'm next ready to push for the big leagues!

Well, since I noticed the FT stat for my guy I had a look and saw he was drawing the majority of these on patient offense. Since kicking over to both games in patient offense he has steadily climbed the various ladders.

World

Ranks #781 in PTS
Ranks #743 in PTS / game
Ranks #9 in FT made
Ranks #636 in FG attempted
Ranks #6 in FT attempted
