In the same way, if two teams play Run and Gun, formation 3G+2C in most cases wins with formation 2G+3C ;-)

Well, it is a bit connected...if you play Patient a lot, you better have a good doctor

It was not due patient

Stats are almost euqal (129 bbstats vs 130 bbstats).
Matchups are even better on winner site (average 98,2 vs 86,2)
This match was lost by home team due weak bench. Look at +/- parameter - one player played whole match (and therefore he isn't interesting), 4 starters had +15, +16, +4, + 16, whilst 4 bench players had -20, -8, -18, -19.

how is this even a stat?

4 starters had +15, +16, +4, + 16, whilst 4 bench players had -20, -8, -18, -19.

it just what happened.

and I had way better game shape.

starters are suppose to be weighted much more?

beside I would have won if BB actually fix the stupid shot clock. shot clock run out twice before he attempted a shot then he scored...

iv read most of the comments but didnt see this one tip. (keep in mind my team is pretty well rounded with shooters, passers for my league) i tend to use patient when i know the team im playing is gonna use full court press. patient allows your team to bring the ball up and slow down the defences atempt to create turnovers. when i have used it i get a great outcome. i would imagine that trying to run ptb or rng on a team playing full court press would leave ur team with allot of turnovers. so i dont do it. in this case i find patient very usfull

there are different theorys about the pace against an fcp, and both makes sense in their way:

play fast:
- less time you hold the ball, means less risk to loose it.
- you won't pass out the "transition*" basket so often

play slow:
- you play less risky passes which makes you less effected by the defence
- the transition baskets are so high percentage that you take them anyway, unless they aren't that good.

Overall i think you could be succesfull with both strategies, and fcp is normally pretty weak so that you haven't to worry much when the opponent plays it.

* in FCP you have very high percentage shots at the beginn of the shot clock, also most of the TO appears to be in the first second. This may be also caused while the press goes back to a normal D, as soon as the opposing teams reach the perimeter and could start their set play.

Here I would add one more:

- since FCP lowers your opponent's OD and ID by a significant margin, you want to have as much possesions as you can since your %FG will be higher than normal. And your turnovers are offset by his lower capability of rebounding.
