Well, apparenlty I couldn't resist finding your "truth"...

Here are the standing of the teams playing at your conference.
The information upon standing is the season they've joined the game:
1) 12
2) 12
3) End of season 12
4) End of season 14
5) End of season 15
6) End of season 13
7) The last season finalist (who had joined at season 7, and probably tanking right now).
8) End of season 13 (A team that is just not good enough and who joined from DIV-2 and will return to that).
Moreover - due to the fact that this is the first season at the top division, they had been able to pile less along those seasons.

Let's make it more accurate.
Let's see last season playoff:
QF-1: End of Season 13 team losses to Season 12 team
QF-2: End of Season 12 team losses to End of Season 7 team
QF-3: End of Season 13 team losses to Season 3 team
QF-4: End of Season 3 team losses to Season 7 team

SF-1: Season 12 team losses to End of Season 7 team
SF-1: Season 7 team losses to Season 3 team

Final: End of season 7 team losses to Season 3 team

Find the pattern...

But this is just the way a pyramid structured league system works. If we are going to change that we need to redo the entire league structure of BB.
Just look at other sports that uses the same format and you'll see the same thing there.
Wh---at???
League structure is not based on the time each team played at the first division (or at all).

If this is what the game is all about, we can close it. What is the purpose in that.
Each league that is being started see who joined first and last, define the promoted (winner) and demoted upon that and save all of us a lot of time.

Thought we might like an update...

The way it's balanced at the moment, every now & then teams get put into other Div IIs in Japan, outside of the logjam in II.1. There's currently even a solo manager in II.3. His top-salaried guy is on $5.1k. His entire roster salary is less than $30k. Yet this season, he's unbeaten, and all he has to do to promote to the JBBL is stick around. He'll get to the JBBL, and get absolutely crushed.
Which would be better, his current situation, or one where he starts in Div III, has pretty much the same experience as he does now, but when he promotes, promotes to a Div II where he'll have more competition, but not the godawful jump he's going to experience.

It makes a helluva lot of sense to start at the lowest point available, not the highest point available (as it is currently set).
