ok... is banning the only punishment ie. they are guilty or they are not? is it as clear cut as this or is a heavy fine also an option?

(just cant imagine banning someone who has paid for supporter)

out of interest how long from filing a cheat report at the moment does it take to investigate?

Each case is different. Some are very simple: Team A sold player X with a salary of $1k to team B for $2,000,000. Others are not so clear cut. These cases require a little detective work.

Right now it isn't the number of GMs that is the problem, but rather the efficiency of the tools we have at hand. The BBs are working as fast as they can to update these tools. The influx of users over the past few months has put a strain on almost every aspect of the game. It may take a bit of time to return everything to normal.

Banning is not the only option. However, in a case of deliberate cheating, a ban is almost certain. We certainly can't discriminate against someone with Supporter either. Each user agrees to the same set of rules when he/she signs up. It would not be fair to ban a non-supporter and then fine a supporter for the same crime.

There are so many variables (i.e. skills) for each player that having a meaningful Transfer Compare is pretty much impossible.

Well, take a real life example. There are dozens of factors that influence the price of a stock. Analysts still manage to come up with a statistically meaningful price for them.

It's difficult, but far from impossible. Actually I do that kind of thing for living :)

If you know anything about econometrics or statistical inference, well, you have to come up with a multi factor model of price.
In our case the factors are blatantly obvious so the difficult part if taken care of. Then you get lots of prices and do a regression (possibly non-linear and with exponential smoothing) and ta-dah you have a pricing model...

The main problem is accessing the data. I need an API for that...

Many people register not only one team. Only one team are real , others are branch.

Then these branch teams can sell the best player and have much money. After that these branch teams can buy @ very high price from the real team.

BB should control this happen again and again.

New register team should not have very good player to let these branch can sell.

Our honesty people are hurt again and again , how long can support us to play BB if cheat always exist ?

BB can not allow same IP address to register team like HT !!!

We most certainly do detect and eliminate cheaters.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

we need to work all together, if anyone just would check his league, they would have no chance.

now i only look to buy players that can better my squad i use the filters more often than i used to...

its AMAZING how many players with deadlines still 48+ hours to go have attracted higher than average bidding...

with a chance of injury who would slap a 300k opening bid on a player that could be crippled for 1/2 a season by the time the expiration comes around...

i think we just have to keep weeding them out and hope the GMs/BBs do impose the necessary punishments....

(im off to check if anything obvious has occured with the last few people i reported)

Remember. Playoffs are in 1 week.

Strong inflation is to be expected this week. Teams will do last minutes buys to improve their chances to promote.

sure - but it has to be realistic - otherwise there would be no reason to try and sell players any week other than this week... then reinvest after the playoffs....

Yep. You just came up with a rather successfull trading strategy.

Real life markets are very inefficient, professionals make money in stocks and derivatives all the time.

Game markets are so easy to manipulate it's unreal! :)
