I'm quite certain of that amount. I don't think it's too much, as I tend to rely on it to make ends meet ;)

The teams in V with 80k in wages have likely bought players they can't afford to keep. And I'll bet anyone a hot dog that any team in V with 80k in wages is a daytrader.

Div I -->400 000
Div II --> 275 000
Div III --> 210 000
Div IV -->160 000

If I am not total wrong, this must be the TV money paid in each Division.

I started about 2 weeks ago. I play in III th division. You start with a salary from over 55k for your players! I'm selling and firing players until I have 12 left. Then the weekly salary would come on 45k. If I wouldn't have a decent coach I would have 3k expenses on staff. Makes 48k expenses.

Whit out the bonuses we get the first week I would need 8k from my sponsors and at least 40k from arena revenue. (I can only dream for such high revenues)

I should need to hire in the first place a PR Manager (only had the chance of a lvl 2 two times) to increase the arena revenue. But even then I shouldn't be able to do scouting or to hire a decent coach to get a weekly healthy net income each week.

How can I make money? Probably by buying some 18y old trainees (good ones cost at least 100k or you need to pay that much for scouting) and hiring a decent coach. But if I do so, I would have huge economic losses the first weeks. And it looks like it will be probably necessarily to sell the trainees again to get back on a positive balance. Then I can just start over again with hiring trainees.

It looks like you need to get a positive balance out of temporary costs. And new teams have the disadvantage that they are not able to choose direct the right staff and they can't change prices of the seats directly for their arena (I will have to wait 4 home matches before I can chance those prices)

I'm not saying that having a positive balance is impossible for new players, but they need to set up at least a very good training plan and need to get their money out of temporary costs. I guess the economics aren't balanced very well. Any team who doesn't play this game intensively should make losses.

I saw some of you were arguing that low divisions like III and IV also in real life doesn't get much sponsoring. But have you ever seen someone playing in low divisions with a salary of 4k each week? We do get 18 players the first moment we play this game.

I know that there should be advantages for players in the first division. But they shouldn't give players who have just started so many disadvantages.

Merchandise revenue: $31k

There is no magic bullet in terms of merchandise by advancing.

That's odd. You say this, yet the week of December 4 you had merchandise revenue just a bit over 3k more than I did (7908.20), and now you're getting more than double what I am.

I'm in no way attacking you, It's just that your merch revenue does a hell of a lot more toward covering your finances than mine or someone in IV or V.

I'm anxious to see how my season ticket holders update next season.

Wow. No wonder the teams in V with 80k in salaries are day traders.

Right now, getting through IV division seems pretty easy. There is no actual need to buy players. If you bought a player as an investment, a youngster, then that´s just fine, you shouldnt feel preasured by your financial situation because you have potential income to make things okay, but if you bought any player over 20 years, then you lost money on a long run and instead of winning your matches by 10 you'll win by 30, which looks pretty much the same to me.

I started off on div IV just as well, hadnt had anything lighter than anyone and my finances were ALWAYS just fine, I dont remember having less than 150k and right now I have 1,6M.

No secret really, I have very few players, which keeps my bill light. I rose the ticket price gradually until it reached the maximum without losing too many fans on the way, and always increasing my income on games, I hired a level 10 PR-Manager as soon as I had the chance and when courtside seats started to sale out I built more of them, and am still building, until the demand is filled.
I dont think theres any magic there, its really just a matter of taking the time to think of a nice financial strategy.
