hi crazy, I know you're upset, but think of it this way: you're currently reducing bleachers to 13k, and you'll soon have 550 in courtside+VIP. that leaves 6450 under the cap for lower tier - I think only a handful of arenas have that many until now. you seem to think that you can go to 10000, maye 13000 for lower tier at lower prices. let's take the latter case, which I guess is a high-end estimate, so you'll have 26,550 seats. on most days then you won't fill all of them because of the cap, but on finals days you might get close actually. but let's say you still will have 4000 bleachers more than you'd want. you know how much that is - $ 800k. So in the end, you'll have 800k of capital locked away somewhere where you don't really want them. that's the worst that can happen to you. really so bad?

but if i hit the cap, i would say it affect the expensiv seats also, and if i loss visitor in the VIP area because i win two games in a rwow it will be bad buissness for me ... So arena size around 20k seem also to be good in a way of self protection. So it wasn't just 800.000 it was also building time, which is missing on the lower tie which only build slowly and it is a punishment for income in the future, so it become more on more.

And i don't like changes where you have no chanche to react, even the ticket prices will be again a problem from one day to another to fix it to total new enviroment, ok this was hard to also on the other change even harder with just one game in the dynamic price area(the other one was the first one where a visitor bug appeared) - also the arena thing was changed just before even the effect of the change ain't close to be finished yet, but from the reaction of it we will still suffer a long even when i am lucky i done with it in a month.

If the bb read it, the thing with the expensiv seats was discussed also before the change appears, at least i mention it directly after the change was set - but now they doing it without a warning to react on something which was planned from them because at this point it was ok for them.

OR: If i got the possibility to raise bleachers prices to 60, so that it really unused space you are right. But if i get 50 extra visitor on bleachers which cost me 2 VIP visitors and 3 courtside i make "-"

are you sure, i got plenty of expensiv visitors, when i raised the prices of the bleachers which gave the vip guys more "room". They don't want to be on the same place like the mob.

Of the roughly 100 or so (according to your first post) people that this issue affects, I have seen only a few who are so upset about it. I have no problem with it. If people take a look at NBA arenas, they will see that they of them are fairly similar in their size and seat distribution- (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Basketball_...).
I think there are some people who just want to complain about things, whether they are major or minor. I spend quite a bit of time on this site, my team is fairly competitive, and I try to participate in all facets of the game (except the draft). This change made me say, "hmmm, bummer. okay." And that was it. SO the arena has a cap on it. Fine. Those who tell you that it is ruining their "long-term" plans are misleading themselves. I also don't buy the timing complaint. 6 weeks is enough time to deal with any change. It might be a bumpy road for some ( although I don't see how since any team with 500+ courtside seats most likely has assets of at least 15 million dollars and more like 25 in these days of TL inflation ) but with the reduction of courtside seats and an increase in prices for both courtside and luxury box ticket prices, the majority of those 100 owners will roughly break even.
My responses to your questions:

1) soft cap
2) tomorrow.
3) the more freedom the builder has, the better.

I could also say that I have only seen one person out of the 100 who fully supports it, too.

Ok, sure, I am with you it is not a big deal and that my original post was an overreaction. I'm still trying to figure out why it is such a hurry to implement this, when it has been confirmed that the only rationale is to make the game more realistic?

I don't know the answer to that, but it might be so that the new minigames which you are not in favor of (but which I think will be okay) can be introduced at the all-star break. Or maybe they are trying to get it done now because there are 1000 teams on the verge of being able to increase their arenas and if they wait for a season or two, the headache will be 10 times what it is now.
