He is a realy solid inside center, but his secondaries are a bit of a drag. If you could spend a season of training secondaries he would be pretty solid, and his salary would not get out of hand.

I have a player that is very similar to this, indeed alot of fun. I will likely turn mine into a PF that has the ability to dominate games from either the inside or outside. You clearly know what you are doing and seem to have a long term plan that makes perfect sense, no need to give you any advice :)

Any advise on how to train this player?

I think you should work on his outside defense and and inscrease that to strong, because since i think his outside defense can increase, do you always play him at center?

I would encourage you to train strictly guard skills(JS,JR,OD,Handling,Driving, and Passing) It is best to train these in one position training. There is alot of good info in the FAQ thread otherwise feel free to shoot me a PM I will help if I can.

That player is very trainable and could/should be the focus of your team. It may take a few seasons but in time he could be brilliant.

but in this current market with all prices so cheap training isn't really worth it at the moment.

I think that your logic is fundamentally flawed. Even if you assume that there is no value in selling trainees right now it would still be a leap to assume that there isn't significant value in training players right now. An 18 year old trainee won't be ready for the transfer list for 2-4 seasons and in that time frame there's no reason to assume that the market won't pick up before then.

Deciding not to train for a third of a season (even if it's just training and flipping) seems like a really questionable financial decision and I don't really understand the logic at all.

I have been training these guys since the 21 year olds were 18 and puzar was 19, ive gotten all their guard skills to fill out, now my plan is to get them each one more pop in Jump Range, then next season do pretty much all jump shot with a little passing and OD mixed in. What do you guys think?
