I dont usually TIE until the last few weeks of the season to get enthusiasm up for the playoffs... I guess part of the reason is I dont need to until the playoffs cuz the rest of my league doesnt really set enthusiasm and so I beat them easily for the most part.

I guess if you are middle to low in your division then TIE would be good but for me right now, I dont think it matter.

I bet alot of you guys will say I am wrong or something, but just my opinion :)

I think in hindsight, the best approach for me to take would have been to TIE first game at home for enthusiasm boost. Then normal to try to win on the road against an equal enthusiasm player. What is not evident in the box score is with a 1:30 left we were about dead even. Many free throws later through fouling, he took the 10 point lead.

But its a learning process. I'll try to pick my battles during the season. My primary goal this season is to not relegate.

Honestly, last season in DV I played TIE every game. It's much better than playing Normal every game. 8-9 enthusiasm TIE is equal to a 5 enthusiasm normal. So if you TIE for a handful of games you can get a better team than just running normal every week. I had 11-12 enthusiasm for the last half of my games, and I definitely noticed a huge difference in how well my team played versus normal.

That's just my insight. Enthusiasm is a strategy that is much overlooked in DIV and DV.

Also, back on topic... My first games of DIV haven't been very nice. The first game I played TIE and got CTed by my opponent. I still can't figure out why, except that maybe he REALLY wanted to start off the season with a win. I just hope I can out manage the other people in my league, because I really don't want to relegate.

Heres my rankings for my league

1.) Towson Generals 2-0 - Undefeated all of last year until they got upset in the finals. They started 2-0 and are looking deadly again.
2.) BuckNuts 2-0 - After not making the playoffs last year, BuckNuts started strong, 2-0
3.) FisherKing 2-0 - After losing in the championship FisherKing has started strong.
4.) CS Wolves 2-0 - With a good all around team CS Wolves could be a contender this season.
5.) Miami Mojo 2-0 - Just promoted and off to a 2-0 start.

I dont have time to do any more, i might do more later.

Nice, a surprise CT, gotta love those. I'm not sure I could justify using a CT at any point during the regular season in D.IV though, except maybe like a late season game to guarantee home court.
