Asada season FGs and 3s
FGs 34-53 64% 3PT 4-13 30%
Konoe
FGs 30-66 45% 3PT 1-9 11%

I also think the quality of the opposition means a lot.

Here is a summary of their games. I can't know cross matching on defence so have to just go with who it says.

Asada
G1
Base offence 15 minutes.
Against stunners played probably against Maghari a center getting training at SG, but there could have been cross matches.

G2
Motion 35 minutes against Fighters.
Probably played vs Pihla 16k guard.

G3
Base 35 minutes against you.
Played very well against 18k Casanavate who I can see right now. Good defender. Great game for Asada. But he was against a FCP that does give much worse defensive ratings and often means players are shooting over worse defenders.

G4
Push 22 mins vs Uni Says.
Slaughtered Hishikawa a 4k guy in inept GS.

G5
Looked Inside 35 minutes vs Kanazawa Kings.
They have an ok 19k PG.

So he has played JBBL but mostly against d2 standard opponents.

Konoe

G1
Looked Inside for 48 minutes against Otaku.
Their PG is a 17k guy but Konoe still hit 33 PTS.

G2
Looked inside for 35 minutes vs Northern Kyushu Ramen Kings
Their SG is Sullivan a 31k stud!

G3
Looked inside for 48 minutes vs Mad Ripper.
Their PG was a weak 4k out of shape guy but "MadRipper looked like the only team trying out there."

G4
Looked Inside for 48 minutes against Terry Bogard.
Lakštinis is a 37k guy in proficient GS and Konoe still did well.

So it is a myth that Asada is facing harder opponents in the JBBL, Konoe has a less suitable offence, has to play much more heavy minutes against much harder opponents.

So I think that explains the shooting % so far this season.

I think you should run Push The Ball in your next game. If the missmatch is with Sonada than he will still get his dunks and lay ups but you will open the outside with Konoe.

Well, wolph gave you advice to what you need to do. He said that Konoe needs more passing so I would give him two weeks of passing starting next Friday(unless he has the minutes at PG for tomorrow's training).
I am also a big believer in GS...example....I think a SG with 15 OD and 9 GS defends better than a 16 OD in 7 GS. The same for all the other stats. So it seems pretty cut and dry. You get Konoe some passing pops and get his GS up to 8 or 9 and your boy will get the starting nod for sure...

Thanks to you both. GS has been fantastic almost every week for 3 seasons and could have been last week but I decided to go for the OD pop instead of another week of 1on1. I don't think 2 weeks of passing will change the order but I have no issue with it as it was part of my plan. I can easily switch it up for this week as he already has 48+ at PG and is finished for the week with exactly 48 minutes. I don't want to risk him playing any more so hopefully that will be enough and his GS rises.

I actually want to give him a lot of passing at some stage because his low potential means that in order to make him a JBBL standard player I will have to work around his primaries to get the most out of him.

The annoying thing this week was Takayoshi Kawagichi again can't get a break. I set him as starter, backup and reserve. Only 9 players rostered. All given a position. Strictly follow depth chart. Play them. Last week his minutes were wrecked by fouling out, this week by the coach pulling him for 2 minutes at some stage in the 3rd for a little rest.

Still seems odd to me that as a SG he is the best outside shooter and the best defender but still doesn't get the call.

VERY good guard prospect on the lists at the moment: (23447300)
PA potential, not a single atrocious there at all. Wolph - get one of your guys who's doing training SGs to pick this guy up!

I disagree with "worth". C'mon Wolph - that's the bottom end of what at least the (most of the time very conservative) TLE has him. You've listed guys at more than double their TLE.
Hell, check what's available on the Nippon TL at the moment, he'd be close to the best value-for-money on the entire thing.

Hehe... fair enough - justify your stance all you like Wolph, but you, I and everyone else here knows that nothing I said in that last comment is inaccurate.
