I was there with you Iwen and others watching that game and seriously, without that injury we would have been Asian champions easily. But that is how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

I am back from my bike ride and the swimming pool (it is a beautiful day for a ride here in Melbourne today by the way) and I said I would give the reasons why I think Leeroy is as strong as tremell as a candidate. Ok his team hasn't achieved as much but the big difference is tremell managed to get out of the dreaded III.6 early and then tanked for many seasons at the bottom of II.2 while he saved a mega fortune. Leeroy was stuck in the bottleneck and has wisely just trained and saved while he awaits his opportunity (which may be this season).

He has trained a lot of players including one that made the U21 team so he knows training. He was involved in the mentoring program under mllama and learnt a lot there and I would say was one of the top four mentors. Then under the reign of Iwen he was Darth Vader to Iwen's Emperor learning the ropes (and whips and chains). He was a constant participant in tactical discussions and one of the best contributors to the offsite forums.

So while I think tremell is a teriffic manager and a great human being, so is Leeroy, the ABBL vs III.6 tags do not tell the full story. I wish I could vote for both of them.

Hey guys

Thanks for some of the kind words written in previous posts. I just want to say my nomination was more due to noone nominating straight away so i just wanted to make sure their was an experienced manager at the very least it could go to...

I fully endorse Leeroy and particularly the words yoda said in regards to him being a great manager despite being in div3. I have always admired his dedication and participation in the Fishbowl PL so if i was to ever have a list of managers i would like to see in the job he would make it. I dont see being in a lower division as a handicap or a indication of Leeroys talents, anyone can get caught in a hard division and the success of a good manager is the ability to listen and 'graft' ideas from other managers to make the best possible plan going forward and Leeroy has clearly shown he wants to learn, assist and contribute to the community without fail.

In the future i very much have ambitions of going for a post like this as like yoda and ez and a few others have said i try and play the game with diligence and respect whilst also improving and making gains. My downfall is very much not being strongly enough involved in the NT community so i have a proposition of sorts for Leeroy coming....

I like the fact Leeroy plans to consult with previous manager Whitebeard with direction whilst in the role and if possible i would very much like to offer my assistance to Leeroy as another experience manager if he is willing to accept it? There is a lot Leeroy can offer to my NT coach development aspirations for the future (as far as ideas on scouting etc in a national team setup that i lack where he is very proficient) and at the same time i can offer him my advise and opinions tactically and strategically? What do you think Leeroy?

Hope this clears up some things for the buza community as to my initial nomination :-)

Of course, I respect your input and experience as it is mate. You were the one who invited me to the PL anyways
Provided I get the position I will try to get as many people involved as possible, as I said in my previous post the Australian community has a right to input as it is their representative team

Sounds like a perfect compromise.

One question, where will we debate the team and record rookies etc now?

ehhh?
I just logged in and logged out, it all seems to be working fine. Whitebeard has been updating posts as well recently.
I might have a talk to Trickster and see if he knows what's going on?

Excellent mate! Yeah it was me that introduced you to the PL and that has certainly proved you to be a great community member in aus. So you sure have my full backing and ive withdrawn my name from the list as i am very much keen to see you in the job, youve earnt it buddy :-)

Once you are successful i will get in touch and see what i can do to assist and i hope you can show me some of the plans and measures you guys have in place for the team going forward so we can punch above our weight as a nation. Im excited!

I would just like to ask a question; what strategies do you have in mind (if any) to try and incorporate a wider variety of managers from Australia, to get new up-and-coming managers more involved with what goes into the representative teams?

Besides the fantastic input from the 'veteran' managers that already basically run this Australian community, i just feel like there needs to be more people getting involved and more help i guess (not just answering little specific questions that people post on the forums) but maybe something a little extra. the one example that i can think of, is that, perhaps it is possible for the new under 21 coach to 'check up' on coaches who are training NT players more regularly instead of waiting for questions to arrive to them they could for example every 3 weeks just bb-mail coaches to see how they are going. i know this may include more work but hey if your going to be the NT coach, you know, should at least try to do stuff like this or similar.

I would also like to know how the new manager will utilize the offsite forum and again what strategies will they have to generate more buzz and interest in the offsite forum? Whitebeard has done an excellent job in his first season of posting loads of info about the National team on there, especially when he first got elected and its also great to see that he has kept that enthusiasm and work ethic throughout the entire season.

So yes if any candidates could address this post it would be great. and even though im a relatively new manager to this game i would like to see this post (and also others from other coaches) treated as equally as if someone of Yodas or Direwolf status were to have posted this comment.

thankyou
