hmm.. tough 1.. i cant see you winning, but couldnt see you winning tonight either... tonight you did great, bainsy played his B team. or maybe his C team, i wouldnt expect that in the cup...

I cant really offer any game advice, but in general : manager your gameshape! good game shape can be the difference between winning and losing.. dont play your guys for more than 70-80 mins per week...

Congrats dude. I didnt underestimate my opponent. I had to make some hard choices and try to win my cup game and paid the price. Gotta make it count and win my cup game now.

well i will throw everything at him and see how it goes!

where does bainsy keep the A team? all his listed players with any reasonable salary were playing, granted some were on the bench, but shot poorly as well. Is there a way you can hide players from view?

thank mate. I figured that all the experienced guys would be focusing on the first round of Cup games. I guess any wins now can help me stay of the relegation play offs in the end as I want to stick around...

I can't take credit away from you. I did suit up all my players except maybe dumai, but couldn't start them as I am already pushing my minutes a bit from the 1st game.

Good luck in your next few games

sorry Mr Lazy... ok, they might have played but they played out of position...

83k C for example, playing at SG
12k PF playing at C against ur 42k monster..

Look at your 2 top scorers, they were playing against guys out of position, or not against the best opponent...

tactically, you absolutely nailed it tonight.. you played Look Inside, and bainsy simply had no answer in the paint.

i might comment further on your cup game on Thursday see who is left from your player sales... he has a pretty well rounded starting 5, hard to find a hole for you to eploit there.

My C wasn't supposed to play SG but a trainee fouled out

Sweet. That makes sense. Is this done for training purposes?

alot of it comes back to what i mentioned earlier : GAME SHAPE!

do not under estimate it, it can be your best friend, or a thorn in your side....

theoretically, you want your players to play between 60-80 mins per game. on average, a starter plays 30 mins per game, 3 games per week (2 league and 1 either cup or scrimmage) so player would play 90 mins per week if he started all 3 games..

in that scenario, the game shape would either stay at current level, or drop, and the effect of a low game shape is huge.

so, a big part of your week comes down to strategising, so you dont kill game shape.. so if bainsy thought your game tonight was a guareenteed win, and the cup game was a challenge, he may have used tonights game for trainees, to get them their training minutes, and rested some guns so he could bring them out for the cup game, and not jeopardise game shape.

it is all a big juggling act.. The way around it of course, is to forget trainees, buy older players and train game shape each week.. i find few can pull off this method, as you need serious $$ and infrastructure behind you to get the right players, and of course your team doesnt get better, so if you promote, staying up could be a challenge, as could be selling old farts :D we had a guy in this league a few seasons ago who tried that and epic failed and relegated :(

Thanks again.

So can you get lifts in game shape by hitting the sweet spot on minutes without actually training specifically that?

It s funny, most of my guys are older to help with being competitive, however I have a couple of younger guys I hope to get trained up. Is there really specific things too look for/ against in a potential trainee? some real no no's?

sorry one more thing , for now. Do the number levels for Staff, correspond to the Basic - World-renowned? are at my level who would be acceptable?

D.
