Last night we played our final group match. We were already guaranteed 2nd place. Our opponents were Egypt, host nation of the African Championship. Of course, I knew they were strong favourites to win, just like they won every single match. And they did win it. The first half of the match was disastrous for us. We trailed 35 points at half time. There was no way we could catch up in the 2nd half, even though we tried. Anyway, we did finish 2nd which is equal best along with the previous championship where we also finished 2nd. We are now looking forward to our semifinal game against Nigeria on Friday. We beat them in the first group phase, they beat us in the second group phase, so it will be very interesting.

I'm very proud to announce that Ghana have qualified for the World Championships for the first time ever! We beat Nigeria today in the African Championship semifinal, and it was a breathtaking final. We were 3 points ahead but Nigeria scored a three-pointer a few seconds before the end. Then, at the very last second, Diawara threw down a powerful two-handed dunk and we won. A buzzerbeater for our team! And the final score is 94-92. We are now taking on the hosts, Egypt, in the continental final, and they are the hot favourites to win that match, but we will try to make the most of the game. Congrats !! Great job

Here is a short summary of Season 21 for Ghana NT:

I think this was undoubtedly Ghana's best season in BB. We made it to the final of the African Championship. In fact, this was our very first final of continental championship. We finished second and grabbed the silver but we should be extremely proud of the way we played. Congrats to Egypt on winning the African title! They played solid throughout the whole season, and they hosted the tournament, so I was sure they would win it. Not only we took silver, but also we qualified for the World Championship for the first time. It will be something new to us. And we will have the chance to play against the best BB teams. Another positive thing is that we climbed in the world ranking thanks to our solid performance. We started the season 55th, and we are now 43rd. That's a 12 place progress. And currently we are the 2nd best African nation in BB.

Next season we will compete in the World Championship. It will start in Week 4 and will continue to Week 8. I will be doing some changes in our roster but our base of players won't differ too much from what it is now. So looking forward to the World Championship! And best of luck!
