Hi jake, welcome to the league.

IMO one of the best ways to start as a new team is to buy some young trainees with at least allstar potential and train the life out of them for at least 2 seasons.

Don't buy new players for this season as you will demote. Make some decisions once you see your div 4 opponents next season

Good luck

Tills

hey Tills, thanks for the advice. bought a lvl 4 trainer, and am saving the cash now except for some cheap trainees to hopefully get some improvements in and make a quick buck.

I have been reading the help forums like mad, it seems a couple of the 18 y/o players I have could improve significantly before they hit potential. In theory I should be able to make some cash, only problem is will people buy them due to their poor potential? I see it as skill level is skill level, but not sure everyone else does.

Including the 2 crap potential players, I have 6 trainees for 2 position guard training (am looking to buy a better 18 y/o trainee if I don't have to break the bank). Two of them are old (23 & 24) but seeing as though I am new and not going to be winning games I might as well see how long it takes to train so I have the data for the future. Is it even worthwhile training 3 positions?

Hey guys,

It's been pretty quite on here for a while.

Only 1 more round after tonight in the cross Div games, and I think the blues are coming out on top again.

Sadly Mango's was beaten in the Cup, leaving the mighty DivIII.12 with no more remaining teams representing.

Hansbroughs Hurricanes selling off and making almost 1.4Millie, getting ready for and of season relegation battle no doubt... watch out red opponent.

Lastly, i guess it is the last game tonight before the All-Star Game. When the teams are announced, maybe get on and give your opinion of the selections?

D.

From my team I think Tello and Bains will be starting C and SG respectively. McCaskie back up SF and Pedernik an outside chance for back up PG.

Do you think Thierry Rousseau SG and Larry Beardsall C from my team are a chance for starts? They are currently the 2 highest rated players in our Div in total, as well as their positions, Emilio Palomeque Díaz PG is also the highest rated PG in the league as well. You have Tello and Bains wich hold down the next best on rating.

How do they pick the teams anyway?

D.

Some kind of fan simulation. If your player plays well against another team they get votes from their fans. I think.

Bummer.I guess I have to hope to get a win in the 3 point shootout then I guess...

There is always next year I guess, I played my second team most of the start of the season in favor of the Cup, cost me big time as well as my points differential. Oh well, still learning.

Go Blue again!

I think Blue took out the cross Div series!

Now let's see if Mango's can win the Div, and get promoted to Div II and rip it up.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the end of the season spend up for the playoffs. I'll probably load up in a couple of positions to give myself a good chance.

That's what I figured, you have always been pretty cashed up. I think you will have enough gravy to survive and compete in Div III straight away.
I certainly have no illusions of competing for the title, I need maybe 2 more full seasons in this Div before I will be in a position to even survive.
good to see Chirny spending up.
