Ok, thanks. It's normal pace for ISO then.

Now only princeton remains to be explained, in terms of the effect on putting outside or inside GDP

Hopefully we will have this feature in PL also, and not only in scrimmages where it's completely useless since 99% of the time you're playing with scrubs and not your actual line-up...

you mean like testing for sb changes?

any testing should be for pl because:

1. weak scrim lineups
2. strong teams still in cup cannot test

It is obvious that clarifications need to be made, in order these changes don't end up being a coin flip, after all.

First of all, we're managers in this game and need to have a baseline for every tactical change.

It was a surprise that we actually got two predictions. Nothing in announcement of season 25, indicated something like that.
So the first question that naturally comes to mind is "do both predictions weigh in equally?"

What happens if one guess is right and the other wrong, regarding focus and pace? Do they carry the same advantage/disadvantage effect or different? And if it's the latter, which one's stronger?

Do they even carry the same measurable advantage/misadvantage effect? I mean, i suppose that guessing the focus right, will give you some better defenses over the course of a game, resulting mainly in a few more missed shots by the opponent and subsequently less points for the opponent's offense.
Does the same apply for guessing the pace right? Because controlling the pace, usually mainly means you alter the possessions and gain advantage in statistical areas favoured by the change. But for dictating the pace, we already have our offensive and defensive tactics to aplly, anyway.
Plus the fact that if the pace guess does affect the... pace of our opponent's offense, then we can find ourselves in a contradicting situation. Our guess' results, pace wise, counterbalancing our defensive tactic's pace...

P.S i agree, as mentioned by others, clarification is needed on the focus of Princeston.

According to the Game Manual, the pace of LP is a bit decreased. I should know this, because I've used it quite frequently. As for Princeton, you should ask this guy (30851). He runs Princeton exclusively and could probably clear up some of the confusion associated with it.

You're right, it's slow pace.

I'm sure that it's outside tactic, given by the ratings boost. I also think that the two ISO tactics are neutral ones and not outside/inside depending their names, but we need confirmation on that.

Princeton is exceptionally slow. I think the game manual's description of inside/outside focus is pretty accurate - guys will definitely take open inside shots or drives early if they get them, and they'll gleefully jack up three point shots any time. I have noticed anecdotally that among the big men, my better inside scorer seems to do much better when facing an outside defense and the better outside shooter tends to do better vs. the man to man.

This is some kind of the mess now. So now BB is forcing users to choose non-dominant strategies instead of fixing them. BB was on the the right track, by increasing SB effects and decreasing salaries, but they had to go even further and should have reduced effects of OD. Now you see often how SG with pretty decent JS and JR are shooting 10-20% from outside because opponent has players with lvl 20 OD. So now what can we expect, to crush these outside players even more if we guess tactics right and reduce outside shooting to 5-10%?

Its politics...

There have been brought up logical solutions for all the problems in this game - by the wrong people... And thats why we still get to read the same old "Its not broken, youre doing it wrong"-mantra to explain the errors of this game.

If my opponent chooses a "somewhat" slow offense and I choose slow defensive focus, will it be somewhat helpful or what?

I'm personally on a long term project (for fun) to develop some 40% three-point shooting

The only way I see this happening is getting someone to JS/JR 18+ and then dropping down to div III. Or lower. It would be interesting to see if a complete junk team guesses your exact offensive/flow strategy, and that 18/18 guy shoots 10%.
