Vaguely. Grew up on a property that wasn't really farmed any more. We had a few sheep, some chickens - but both my parents worked outside of our *ahem*... "farm".
Grew up a country-boy, but I'm not a farmer's son.

What about you guys? Where are you from, what do you do?

Born and raised a dairy farmer in South Gippsland.

Got into warehousing and OH&S and with those skills I went into TAFE as a teacher

Living in the outer South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, but spent sometime teaching Logistics in China whilst at TAFE

Left TAFE and now have my own small training business

Born in Leongatha Hospital when my parents were sharefarming at Tarwin Lower.

My parents then went to Woodleigh Vale and then Caldermeade where they had dairyfarms.

Pretty much grew up in Caldermeade and went to Koo Wee Rup High and played football against Pakenham.

Now reside in Narre Warren and my daughter plays rep basketball for Pakenham

Cheers man... what do you teach?


I teach Primary. This year it's the 5/6s

I seriously considered making the move to High School this year as the Education dept offered a transition course (as I was originally focused on becoming an English teacher at High School level) but family situation hasn't allowed me to. I will probably stay in Primary and move into admin over the next year or two.

My first ever teaching gig was as a TAFE teacher. Decided I liked it and got my Grad Dip Ed... now teaching in an IB school.
