It does seem that the Guards will generally shoot more that the bigs on inside iso and the bigs shoot more than the guards on outside iso.

Not saying you are wrong, because ive already had this discussion with lots of other folk on here.

But when ive played OI, my SG was taking most of the shots. not always, and usually in conjunction with another player. sometimes SF, sometimes PF.
In a recent game, SG and PF took majority of shots. (like, 25 and 21 shots).
The SG took a full on variety of shots. Jumpers, 3's, driving etc.
The PF took majority mid range, driving/dunks/inside .... but NO 3's.

they both had about 50% of their shots being assisted shots. the other shots obviously taken of their own accord.

The conclusion i came to, was that with OI, the game engine isolates the best 'outside' player..just like the game manual says.... however what he does with the ball after that is going to depend on his skills and the opposition. The 'best outside player' is also going to depend on ur opposition.
eg: Your SG has the best JS and JR, but he is up against a team with awesome outside defence. However your PF ahs quite good JS and DR, and his opponent, is crapola. Therefore i would imagine the PF takes majority of shots.

I noticed a this as well but it's a bit more rare... or perhaps it's just the teams/players i've been looking at.

I've also seen someone say that outside iso is basically where your best guard is the primary ball handler, and he'll drive to the hoop and look to score or pass to someone under the basket. And somewhat of a vice versa for inside iso.

Slightly unrelated
I'd really love to see an offense that can be as one sided for a bigman as a well done (but risky) patient is for a good outside shooter (whether it be PG-SF or a SF type PF)

maybe - the games ive played this has not been the case. the main guard who scores (or attempts to score) doesn't seem to get a lot of assists. thats what i have observed.

but i think thats the beauty of the offense, is that people are achieving different results, which is exciting.

I believe its called Look Inside.

Definitely not. There is no inside offense, that will let your big score 50-80 Points on a regular Basis. In a weaker league its pretty easy to have a dominant guard average 40-50 ppg.

Funny seeing my old posts here, I'm running outside iso this season heavily again. Really not sure what you get from it still
