10-22 - III.14 - Power Rankings
1. Seaslugs - Clearly the league favorite 7 games in. They have the best player in the league. Getting the job done with a relatively low salary. Good experienced owner.
2. Michigan Blasters - This team has it all. The number one threat to Seaslugs IMO. A team full of wily experienced vets that can beat you in many different ways.
3. Eggies - If the Eggies could ever learn how to score, they could be a real threat. Having the number one defense in the league makes them a factor in any game.
4. Wolf Dogs - Loaded team with the top record in the Great 8. They have a legit shot at making the Finals, where anything can happen. Don't sleep on these guys.
5. Cutters - This is more out of respect for their owner than their current record. I've been in a league with Cutters before and have faith in their manager to turn the team around. Roster is in flux at the moment, but expect them to get it figured out.
6. Brighton Mammoth - Dominant inside team. Might not be good enough defensively to really make a run, but plenty of season left to prove it.
7. Catalunya 1714 - Amazing record for such a low salary. Signs of a very good manager. Not sure how they're getting it done and I haven't quite bought in yet, but this is a good team on the rise.
8. white -red knights - They can really put up some points. Another team that probably needs to focus on defense to make it to the next level.
9. San.Antonio.Spurs - Probably the only thing more shocking than Trump winning the presidency is the fact that this team is 1-6. They are underachieving big time IMO. I expect a huge 2nd half of the season for them as they climb to around .500.
10. Zen Cavaliers - Looking to become a playoff team this season, and I think they can do it. The manager has put them in a solid position to make some noise in the Great 8.
11. Cincinnati Saints - Having a rough go of it in the loaded Big 8. Will have to fight hard to avoid relegation this season.
12. Brooklyn Kings - Probably overachieved a bit in the first 7 games. If they can continue to pull off upsets they can certainly be a playoff team.
13. The Ashkickers - Abe Gruber is not walking thru that door. These are not your grandfathers Ashkickers. They still have an experienced, veteran manager, so there is always a chance at turning the season around.
14. Pyramid of Success - They can put up a fair amount of points, but struggle defensively. Another team that will really have to work hard to avoid relegation.
15. Lightning Hoopers - After a strong start, they appear to be in rebuild mode. Expect the Hoopers to relegate unless drastic changes are made.
16. Rat Brigade - Obviously a very good DIV team, they are finding DIII to be a bit much. Need to improve the talent level of the roster and get that arena up to par.
