I think it is not bad if some prospect ends up in the hands of good and selected managers.

We in Italy try to place our best drafts in the hands of good and trusty masters, for the rest not to believe that we do not, for the Italians there are Chinese teams that spend money out of every market

59 TSP Polish guy 6'8'' 3.5 million (Polish team)
60 TSP Polish guy 6'10'' 3.6 million (US team)
57 TSP English guy 6'8'' Italian bids 4.6million

4.5-5.0m is the same amount that people paid for 31yo 140 TSP players recently...

(no-one wants to go off topic with me, so I'll do it myself..)

Are you a football fan? (if not, every question from here is probably irrelevant)
Who's your team? Ever kinda liked an English team?
Favourite Italians who've played in the Premier League (I may judge you, though there's actually not been many at all who were a success), favourite Italian players in general?

If you're not a football fan, I'll just Gigi Datome!!! at you.

(my answers: I used to have a thing for Juve I guess, before they become overly dominant/cheaty anyway. Players: Roberto Baggio, Del Piero, and just looks wise: Marco Borrielo and Antonio Nocerino, both a few years ago (and Maldini..he just didn't age like a normal man))

Yes, I'm a fan of Naples

I do not remember how many Italian players played in the Premier, but lately many coaches are having success in the Premier (maybe it works with your U21: P).

Favorite and Italian player at the moment Lorenzo Insigne, of the past Roberto Baggio.

Datome is god

I also had that English player spoken in bookmarks.

However, believe me the problem is quite widespread and is not restricted to your nation.

I understand, but you are Italian, NdR619 (who also contacted me about running at some point) is Italian and these managers are Italian...surely something can be done to get them to focus on Italian draftees or stop overbidding when it's clear they will lose money (anything above 3 million you are almost guaranteed to make a loss)

And what could you do? I can not stop a user from offering on a player, the market is global!

In fact, I would be happy if my best prospects were in the hands of good managers like Ndr, indeed they are offered such a thing rather than ending lost, or in the hands of manger who do not train or train badly.

But this is my long-time scout idea that has seen forever lost perspectives on the paper could be interesting.

Which started with Mancini of course

Ndr expressed interest in coaching in the future. He was in the auction, but like any reasonable foreign manager, did not put in a dumb bid on a player who wasn't going to benefit him. The guys who place the bids are typically long standing D3/D4 managers who have never created players with more than 60k salary (well, at least I haven't seen any they sold for good money above that level), so I think it's safe to assume they do not know what they are doing.

Anyway I was hinting at the fact that the language connection could allow you to get in touch with them and ask them politely to withdraw as a favour so that we can give the trainees to good trainers. And yes, I understand they could just keep bidding anyway.

No more questions from me! Sorry everyone if I hijacked the thread!

Of course this could also be useful if such a thing happens again.
But I believe that, in the event of my election, I will be able to place, as we do in Italy, the best prospects in the hands of trusted managers (English or Italian is indifferent).
