Sorry for you with this frustrating relegation... it happened very little
My analysis of what happened to you :
- When you play "all in" against SA Leuven Turtles, you would certainly win by betting on his tactics (= motion) that he has played more than 50% of the time in the league this season -> Certain to finish third, he does not had no reason to prepare for your meeting and therefore to adapt his usual tactics.
- Without enthusiasm and with low energy against Kelmis Spartan, I think that "low post" was your best chance to win your 2 games at home: even if Kelmis is a formidable coach, one of the best Belgians (almost 30 seasons of BBBL league anyway ;-) ) his team, in reconstruction, was really takeable inside this season.
Using all your enthusiasm to don't lose access to the playoffs (when you have a better team than Kelmis Spartan) is probably what you shouldn't try, especially since, following that, you wouldn't have had any chance to passing a PO round -> for finances, I prefer 2 or 3 relegation games than 1 playoff game… For my part, without the hope of a playoff run, I would certainly have keep my 5th place. But 2 injuries from my starting five + a bad tactical bet, impossible to imagine a better end than the result obtained... we'll see next season :-)
It remains a game, to which you'll come back stronger I am sure, take the opportunity to rebuild and above all have fun ;-)
