Well, so much for having a break. Lol.

Due to unforeseen happenings, we are stepping in cover another team.

So, then Swan River Serpents are back! Stronger than before...but unlikely, once again, to win a game.

Our focus will simply be to put up the best fight we can in every game we play. Simple.

SEASON 2: Unexpected Return!

Well, we were hoping for another season under our belt before returning to the HGL for more pain, however, we are stepping in this season for the Bandits (see you back in the HGL soon, mate). Although unexpected, we are happy to be back.

Our first season (Baptism of Fire) was exactly as we expected...as we went 0-15 and were soundly beaten by all teams. Despite some teams leaving the HGL, and others returning, and having looked through all of the teams' rosters, it is safe to say that we will once again likely end up 0-15 by the end of this season. So, what can we take out of this season?

Well, before the first game was underway I had decided that I would compare results this season with last season's for each team we have already played and, if we were to reduce the points difference of the last this season, then this would be a win. The error in my thinking was quickly dispelled after the first game when Suuret Muinaiset flogged my team by 63 points, 10 more than last season.

This reminded me of something that should have been obvious: as a HG team I am continuing to improve...and so is everyone else as they, too are HG teams!

So, what can I take away from this season if not the point differential I had initially planned? Instead, I think the improvement of individual players within my team compared to last season is far more important to me than the wins at this point in our building of a competitive HG team.

So, I will add to this thread soon the player stats of my players who played last season in the HGL and hopefully I will see them do better this season around. Well, those being trained at least. For now, however, I will include here a list of the games and results as I did last season:
