Hey, while I did call him a clown (and based on that game I stand by it..) nobody called him an idiot. Somebody did say idiotic management... which can't say is inaccurate...

That is not acceptable management.

Sure, we are told there was a mistake... Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. The action, the management of the game... was idiotic. Was it intended or not?... Who will ever know? But the fact stands

What YOU classify as "not acceptable management" is not necessarily the golden standard around here. And the point is that there is no argument or reason to justify disrespect. Especially towards people you don't even know.

Obviously.

Yes, obviously. Anyone who assumed anything else about what happened was plain wrong.

What else would you have liked us to assume in the aftermath of that game?

I'm not your brother, I can only go on what I see.

BTW, someone would like to pay tribute to you:

GM-Leonan eats babies.

Great. Keep displaying to everyone here the greatest attributes of your character. I don't know what is the obsession you and some others have with "eating babies". Must be some kind of joke I don't get. But then again I also don't get the reason for all your arrogance, rudeness and disrespect. So I guess it's all part of simple lack of character.

Erm, i'm not in this game to state universally accepted wisdom pearls. I purely state my opinion. I never assumed it's the golden standard. I never knew I can't say what I think either...

All the best

I've been playing BB since the end of season 3 and not once have I ever experienced anything remotely similar to this "mouse wheel error".

Well, it has happened with several other people, as many came forward and said it so after this more "famous case" now.
PS. I really don't like the way you classify all Canadian managers as arrogant and rude, while you say the Brazillian managers are nice and respectful. It's very ignorant to classify people based on group. You have a bone to pick with someone, do it. Just don't generalize.

wow there! I never said that! I was refering especifically about the people that disrespected GM-Leonan calling him a clown, making jokes about what happened to him, or calling his actions idiotic. I made that clear, just didnt want to write down their especific names. I did NOT, in any moments, make any generalization about canadian people, or even about brazilian people. What I said was:
we = "we, the decent, honest, reasonable players of this game" (nothing about being from brazil, people from any country)
you = "you (people that were disrespecting GM-Leonan)" (nothing about canadians)

raonne, you really have no case here.

I do have a case. My case is about respect. I grew up being taught that are no grounds for disrespecting people in these world. People should show respect to everyone. In this case is even more disgusting, since people are disrespecting someone that only made a mistake, that is having to pay the price already for his mistake, and doesn't deserve to be called names.

And again, I know the disrespect here was from certain elements, not at all from the whole canadian community. I like Canada and have a few very good Canadian friends.

Fair enough, your words were unclear I guess.

You have to understand though that even if it was an honest mistake, it is still one that leaves people puzzled. I can't understand why your surprised that the immediate reaction is that people think the manager is foolish in this case. They (and I) assumed that Leonan had made that choice. It's a logical assumption and you can't really expect people's first reaction to be, "Oh hey, that was probably some form of mouse wheel error". Obviously people would have been more understanding if they immediately knew what was going on.

On top of that, no one is disrespecting Leonan as a person because no one knows him. They are pointing out a specific event in which this person made a mistake. Basically, your argument is that every time someone criticises a person, it's showing a lack of respect and that isn't true. People also criticise with different levels of vulgarity. One person might say a team is run by an incompetent idiot while another one could say that the team is run poorly. The second one is obviously the nicer of the two but they mean the same thing.

Calling someone a clown or his actions idiotic is not an acceptable form of criticism. It is rude and disrespectful, and definitely unnecessary. If someone wants to criticize someone else, it needs to first know what they are talking about and know exactly what happened, and secondly they need to do so respectfully and with constructive (and not offensive) intentions.

Unfortunately there are some people that think being an asshole is fun, and that don't care about other people's feelings. The only reason I came here to complain was because other brazilians were outraged with the disrespect being demonstrated by some people here. I had not even seen this until now, since I was forced to dramatically reduce my BB time. Gladly Leonan himself have not seen any of this.

This kind of offensive and disrespectful behavior by a minority is what unfortunately stains the BB forums and creates flame wars and similar things. So I just think it should be avoided. If there is a group of people that likes to act this way,and think it's ok to do so, then they should do so in between themselves, not towards other people that they don't even know.
