Sid and Akuma, I must say this has been a very entertaining forum this year. Primarily due to the verbal sparring you two have had - great entertainment.

It will be a shame to lose one of you from this division.

Here is my "insiders" take on the probably ABBL demotees, hopefully they wont be offended.

Bell Park SuperCats look certain. He has been in the ABBL since season five and has never looked like winning although he has had some cup runs. I don't see him as especially scary.

WA IS A DUMP also looks close to certain now. A financial wizard he seems to have been playing on autopilot this season. Not sure if he will do much more than buy and expensive roster for the whole season and a well organised team should beat him.

West Indies look the next most likely. They have a cheap roster and a supertrainee but also haven't been very active this season. They are probably super loaded and already have at least three players that would cause havoc in a division II but need some more impact starters.

One of Slam !, Awesome^.-, Stone Slashers or The Winnerz. This could be the worst. If The Winnerz or Awesome^.- end up getting relegated they would be a nightmare with very active and capable managers. Slam ! is also an economic wizard but a little predictable. Stone Slashers are a bit of a mystery to me and I admit I haven't followed them closely but they have gone II, III, II, II, ABBL in the last five seasons so they know how to tank and bounce.

I love go back to this league if i get demoted :) its very active

My trainees may go up a combined 30k at worst case scenario.

I think it will be more - Ryder and WIlliams to go up about $15k each, and you've got Palmeri, who will also jump a tad.
$30K wont be worst case scenario. id say $25 at least, $30k most likely, $35k max. depending on what u have been training, if you have been pumping primaries, could be more.

Ive been reading around the traps that - because this is the last season of the big-beastie rental before it becomes 'financial unviable' - that the market will be flooded with people trying to offload their beasties.

personally - ur nuts not to try the rent-a-trophy tactic this season - With the new rules, it will make it so much less financially viable, and all that money you have spent so far this season on renting a beastie - if it turns out to be 'psyche-out' purcahses, the bill at the end of the day for you doing it this season PLUS next season in an attempted promote, will be HUGE.

as i said before, plenty of others sitting here in this league playing the waiting game. given the above, you may not be in the financially better off position next season, nor for seasons to come.
